    Bosch Serie 2 dishwasher

    4/5
Easy to use, easy to install. Would have preferred a cutlery basket not a tray.

Lesser replacement for another Bosch dishwasher

    3/5
This was to replace another Bosch dishwasher. Although full size, seems smaller inside & definitely not as well made. Eco 50 wash is now 3h 45mins (2h 20mins on old machine).

Life saver and most importantly energy saver

    5/5
Only had it for a week so can’t speak for longevity, but already so impressed. Most important point, at the moment, the energy usage is already considerably lower than with my old machine, which was only 5 years old (wasn’t a bosch). With the app you’re able to totally tailor the cycle to what you put in it, an everyday; plates, mugs and glasses, a deep clean pots and pans, baking sheets. Whether they’re heavily dirty or clean, whether you care more about sanitisation, cleanliness, efficiency, silence, speed. And it then tells you exactly how much energy and water the cycle will use and notifies you when it’s finished. The machine is also almost totally silent, I forget if I’ve put it on, the actually cleanliness is exceptional. I’ve done a test with really dirty pots and pans and old pans that I was thinking of throwing due to baked on greases around the handles and everything came out shining and clean. And also you have the confidence of Bosch’s reputation.

Drying no better than our cheap dishwasher

    3/5
Quality of build is good and it looks nice. However, the main reason we went for this was the extra dry button, so we would, “never have to use a tea towel again”. Had to use one every time, even when cups are at an angle to help drip dry.

    Cannot fault this dishwasher

    5/5
I can't fault this product at all, and I am fussy with dishwashers! I previously had a hisense dishwasher from ao and this was not drying at all so I switched it for this one. This dishwasher does not feel cheap nor flimsy. It's got useful settings like extra dry and speed perfect which cuts cycle times in half. After the cycle has ran, dishes are dry completely within 30 mins (without extra dry). And with extra dry, the dishes are completely dry. Fabulous dishwasher. No negatives. I was however a bit confused on delivery. The plastic film is a greenish colour which is horrible. But removing the film, the silver front reveals.

Almost perfect: great dishwasher with a few potential downsides

    5/5
I bought this to replace our 2nd Dual Drawer Fisher & Paykel dishwasher. The 1st F&P we had for over a decade was great until it became faulty. But the quality of the cleaning suffered on the new replacement model due to poor design by the new owners of F&P. I sold this new generation model for 1/3 of the original price on eBay. I then put this money towards this new Bosch dishwasher. [PROS] Overall I am pleased with this Bosch model. The main reasons I chose it were: 1) The cutlery drawer at the top which slides out 2) The ability to delay the start of the wash program until the early hours of the morning when power is cheaper. 3) Height adjustable top shelf for tall glasses (also a weakness, see below) [CONS] Here are my criticisms of this machine: 1) There is no quick 40-minute program like on our old F&P machine. The fastest program takes just over 1h @ 60 degrees. 2) The “Eco” mode takes 3h 50m @ 50 degrees. I don’t understand why there is a massive difference of almost an extra 3 hours if the temperature is lowered by 10 degrees. Needless to say, we mostly use the 1h program all the time! 3) The height adjustable top shelf is a double-edged sword. In order to fit tall beer and wine glasses, you can quickly lower the top shelf by releasing a clip of either side of the sliding rails. But this means that the rotating blade underneath the top shelf can hit the top of large dinner plates that are located on the bottom shelf. Therefore, we just end up washing tall beer and wine glasses in the sink. The family doesn’t use many of these types of glasses so it’s not too much of an issue. But if you host lots of wine and dinner parties, this will be extremely inconvenient.

Cleans well, but Internet connection essential – horribly complicated to use

    2/5
(This review after I've lived with this dishwasher for a year, so had plenty of time to get used to it.) If it had just a few straightforward buttons – perhaps "Heavy load", "Light Load", "Rinse only", "Delay Start" and "Go" it would be a fine machine. But it does too much, and the layout and labelling of the controls is neither logical nor intuitive. Certain functions can *only* be accessed via the Internet, and it took me half an hour on the phone to user support (admittedly very helpful) to work out how I had to program the thing *using my iPhone*. And when it's finished its cycle, it turns all the lights off; much better to leave one light on to show the dishes inside are clean. It cleans extremely well, and the layout of trays is fine, but why in the world does a dishwasher need to connect to the Internet?

    A fab cutlery drawer

    5/5
This is really a lovely machine and a definite upgrade from my last Bosch dishwasher. The stylish cutlery drawer at the top of the machine ensures that all cutlery gets thoroughly washed sparkly clean; the previous machine had a cutlery basket which meant that quite often the cutlery got stuck together and didn't wash properly. Having the cutlery drawer at the top also provides more space on the bottom tray and it is much quieter than the old one.
