DeLonghi Dragon Pro oil filled eco Radiator.

The energy crisis made it necessary to look at ways of reducing consumption. We have LPG gas central heating but it heats rooms that we are not using and turning radiators on and off all the time is not a viable option. The oil filled radiators provide more or less instant heat in the rooms that we use during the winter so I have one in my office/living room for occasional use. The other in the living room/kitchen area which is quite a large space and this provides my wife with the comfort she requires in the place that she spends almost all of the winter. With the cost of energy nothing is cheap to run but with sensible use I hope to restrict the bills. So far, the gas tank remains full. The heaters are very easy to use and the eco feature means that they stop heating when the thermostatic temperature is reached. I don't bother with timers etc. I find that turning them on when required very quickly heats up the room. However, if you want to lower your bills expect to put on an extra jumper and keep the thermostat reasonably low. I'm very pleased to have bought them.

This is the second heater De'Longhi Dragon Eco radiator that I have bought in recent weeks following the success of the first purchase. As we can't get away from expensive heating costs, I decided that one of these heaters would be useful to target warmth in the part of the house that we use the most during the winter instead of using the central heating to heat the whole house including those rooms that we rarely use. I still need to watch the smart meter to control the amount of electricity used, as my wife feels the cold but the eco model is very efficient - just don't dial it up too high and put on an extra jumper! Following this success I purchased a second one for occasional use in my office area - just to take the chill off - which is does very effectively in a short time and then I switch it off. However, it should be noted that this terraced house has proper insulation to the front walls which helps to keep in the heat very well compared with how it used to be before. I had that done many years ago and it has really paid off. The deal from ao was better for the second one than the first. I felt that using some of the government support to try and improve the heating efficiency in my house was a good idea. It is never going to be cheap but I think these heaters are a great help for my personal circumstances.

Brilliant heater. Heats up quickly, easy to adjust temperture, retains the heat for a while after switching off, easy to move around and it feels like a cheaper way to bring heat in the home.

    Superb, cost-saving electric heater

    5/5
The product is superb and not only heats my back room (an out-rigger) which is where my home office is, it means I only need to put on my central heating for 1/2 hour to an hour twice a day; once in the morning and once in the evening just to warm the place up. So, I turn on the electric heater as and when I want it. Collectively, the Smart Meter indicates I'm spending 25% less per day. Still means my bill will be 50% higher but it's better than double which is what it would have been (or freezing while trying to work). Only aesthetic issue is, there was a slight dent on the 5th panel - which was there when procured.

    My flat radiators.

I chose these two products because they will be heating two large high ceiling rooms in my flat. They are doing a great job. I can leave them on low or put them on a timer I have always bought this brand.
