We switched from gas to induction because the gas hob was such a chew to clean. Now all we do is wipe across the hob. I was surprised there's only 4 rings on the hob. I know, I know, I should have checked this, but I stupidly assumed because of the size, more of the surface was capable of heating but in fact there are two large patches with no heating elements in them, such as the right hand side nearest you - this is just a blank space, it's very odd however on the whole I love it though I have docked a mark for the odd layout.

Easy to use

Ordered this Hotpoint induction hob as my previous Hotpoint hob unfortunately chipped on the front corner leaving a jagged edge (not the fault of the hob as when cleaning the work top, our glass work top saver slid & smashed the corner!) This one definitely seems a lot better quality with slightly thicker edges & corners. Loads of features although I haven't had the chance to explore them all yet. Same layout as the previous one which gives plenty of space for all of your pans. So easy to clean too. Having a slight problem with the slide controls as in not being able to judge them but I'm sure that will sort it self out with more use. All in all, really please with this purchase & will definitely be keeping that pesky glass work top saver well away from it

Looks good, wide range of features and settings, with different sized cooking areas. The only slight criticism is that it is slightly slower than my previous hob. Overall it represents good value.

Good appliance easy to use and clean, very happy with appliance

I have recently bought this hob , changed from gas. The hob performance is great and I’m happy with it. My question is … I feel there is heat transferring from the underside of the hob to the pan drawer below. I didn’t experience this when using previous gas hob. I’m worried about damage to kitchen units. I’d be grateful to hear if anyone knows of a solution. Thanks in advance,,,, Irene

Excellent experience so far. Easily installed once worktop cut to the right size. So far we have found it very easy to use and so simple to keep clean! Definitely a happy replacement for our old gas hob. No vices so far!
