Looks great but I like my toast on the verge of burnt. The highest setting on this toaster doesn’t darken it enough for me.

Just bought this toaster as a package with the kettle in cream. Both fantastic products proper quality but it’s a shame the kettle and toaster are a different shade of cream from each other. I understand the different materials used can cause different shades but for the price you pay you’d expect them to match.

Only just opened out of the box I was worried I couldn’t pay for extended warranty on this item I even thought about sending it back after I’ve done some more research and there’s a lot of negative feedback about this item (I rush brought) then I opened the box and registered with Smeg on line for a free 2 year warranty. Toaster is larger a lot bigger than my other same style different brand toaster, crumb trays fall out quite easy while moving about but now it’s in place I probably won’t use or move it anyway! Nice features looks way to use! Smeg on both sides not to keen on the grey lead or plug with the item being black but not a major issue! Lovely stylish kitchen accessory! Only 4 stars due to bulky style I will update review!

Looks lovely but not all toast slots and/or sides are even.

First item we have bought by Smeg after some consideration of other brands we have previously tried. So glad we decided to pay that bit extra as this toaster does all that we expect. It toasts evenly on bread but is clever to know that a thick item such as a crumpet needs more toasting on one side than the other. It could be a coincidence but we have crumpets alot. We also bought the red to match other appliances and it's elegant curves look so good in our kitchen. It definitely feels premium and solid unlike some others that are cheaper but feel a bit flimsy. The outer can get warm in use but the manual does tell you that. Ordering through AO was easy and delivery was on time. It was well packaged so unlikely to get damaged in transit.

Very stylish, very red, quite big, but most importantly does an excellent job at what it's designed for. Very happy with purchase from AO, which as always offered a great deal and efficient delivery too!

Great looking toaster but for the price surprised not to have basic modern function of a high-lift lever to help out toast that is stuck or too small. It means you are more likely to burn your fingers or start sticking knives into the toast to pick it up (which will only end in trouble for some). I now see it is not listed as a function (and that is my fault for missing it) but at such a high price for a toaster you would expect such basic modern features.
