    Cannot Recommend

    1/5
Cannot recommend this kettle as there is an issue with the temperature setting feature. I have had two kettles and both have developed the same fault. It works perfectly for a few weeks, but then the temperature setting feature develops a fault. If you set the temperature anywhere between 80 and 100 degrees, the kettle will always stop heating at 80 degrees and has to be restarted. The dial still continues up to the set temperature before dropping back, but the heating has stopped. Have tried using a descaler, but that makes no difference. Very disappointing for such an expensive item.

    Disappointing quality and returns service

After 6 months normal use the pop-up lid has broken and has to be manipulated down again. Dangerous when refilling from hot. Am returming to Bosch under warranty but it will take upto 2 weeks to get back. Might as well buy another. Be aware that AO wash their hands of it in this situation - don't want to know.

a lot of money and headed for landfill in 2 years

2 year update: This kettle worked well for 2 years as we used the variable temperature feature for teas. It took up a lot of work surface area. At 18 months we we had to press the temperature buttons multiple times At 20 months we had to press the boiling button 20 times At 24 months / 2 years this Bosch kettle will only boil if you stand over it and press it over 20 times. I've let Bosch know and guess what? nothing.

Lots of features but not consistently reliable

    2/5
I have had this Bosch kettle for 10 months, but will be contacting AO about a repetitive fault. Generally it is a very well specified, though expensive kettle and operates well. However, there is clearly an ongoing fault which results in it intermittently failing to start heating - even switching off for several minutes and restarting sometimes will not work. We have several Bosch items in our kitchen, which have proven reliable so far, but we will hesitate to buy the brand again after this experience. Very disappointing for a kettle costing almost £100 and made by Bosch - supposedly such a reliable brand.

    Overpriced

Overpriced for a kettle. The wife wanted it, but doubt we will use any other temperature other than boiling, so in my opinion ion would rather buy a cheaper model that does the same job.

    Bosch - old model better

    3/5
Had previous model of this product for 10 years therefore replacing as it finally started leaking. However this new product's new base has a flaw in the the thermostat - meaning it can automatically adjust to temperature lower than the one set. Also handle has lost the old rubberised texture which felt more expensive.
