Wow. Having to replace our dyson that died, I researched for the best vacuum on the market and this one came out top on various sites. Reluctantly I went ahead and purchased it, and boy oh boy I’m I glad I did. At first use this vacuum shamed us in just how much hair our Labrador had cast. We vacuumed just our lounge and dining area and had too empty the cylinder 6 times because of the amount of hair it pulled up. Not in a life time could we of imagined just how well this vacuum works. Too ALL of you reading this, this is 100% an honest review from a regular person. I cannot speak high enough about this product, I whole heartedly recommend this vacuum and I know you will be very happy with the results.

The vacum cleaner has a strong vacuum for good cleaning performance it's very nice and lightweight. I like detachable part for cleaning the stairs it has good capacity collection container for collecting dust. But the only problems are the fiddlely removal and fitting of motorised cleaning brush and to much vibration of the power rotary brush attachment otherwise a excellent vacuum cleaner.

Very good when you have a dog that loses alot of hair

I have this vacuum for a few weeks now and am very impressed. The suction is very powerful and cleans hard floors and mats and piled carpets very efficiently. I like the way the cleaner comes apart at the press of a button so I can carry it about to clean the stairs and other small spaces. Being bagless there are no extra costs and the volume of dirt, dust, dog hair etc collected before it needs emptying is great amd much better than many of the other cleaners. The only pitfall I can find is that it is quite a heavy machine, but certainly not the heaviest on the market and the price is very competitive so if I could give it 4 1/2 stars I would. I recommend this machine and would buy another if I needed too.

I purchased this vax steerable hoover after my old one decided to give up the ghost after 10 years of loyal service. My recently retired vacuum is the 1st generation of this particular model, so I've basically replaced like for like. On 1st impressions, I really liked the look, style and colours of it; it's very sleek and visually pleasing to the eye. The real test came when I used it for the time; the suction power on this machine is insane; i mean, it could suck the chrome right off of a door knob and the performance wont drop at all. It's almost double that of its predecessor and then some, plus, it's quieter then my older hoover too, you can actually have a conversion with someone in the same room whilst using it without having to shout your head off over the noise. This machine will suck the living hell right out of any carpet/rug/flooring you have, getting out even the finest of dust/dirt that is trapped deep down in the fibres, leaving your floor looking and feeling brand new again. The detachable unit feature is just awesome; it makes doing the stairs or the car so much easier, no more having to lug around the entire unit whilst doing certain tasks. The power cord could be abit longer though, my older hoovers cord was 2 meters longer then this one and I managed to do the whole house, upstairs and downstairs from one plug socket; I have to move sockets with this new machine to complete the same task. I gave this product 4 stars for the following reasons: - the materials used to construct it, such as the plastic casing, are real cheap and seem flimsy. My older hoover compared to this one was built to withstand a nuke blast and still carry on working. The new machine feels like it could break apart just by looking at it the wrong way and you will need to provide a safe space for it along with some counseling. Cheap materials means inferior products. - the power cord is some what of a good length but still falls short of previously owned machines; this is also made of the cheapest possible materials and also feels flimsy. It gets tangled easily and because its situated at the bottom of the machine near the wheels rather then nearer the top,near the handle like my older hoover, it makes it abit awkward to handle when using it. - the detachable suction hose is ridiculously short; you will most definitely need to buy an extension hose to get any kind use out it. - the 2 tools provide are ok at best, but yet again, made from the cheapest materials available and will probably need replacing after a few months of usage. The stair brush attachment is pointless, it doesn't really work all that well and doesn't pick up as much dirt/dust as you would expect it too. - my older hoover had a bright white l.e.d strip light on the brush head, which proved to be a really useful feature when hoovering dimly lite rooms; this new one doesn't have that feature which is a shame. Overall though, despite being made of the cheapest materials known to man and will most likely need replacing in a couple of years time, this hoover is definitely worth buying; the suction power and detachable unit feature more then make up for the flaws that it has. I would and I have recommended this product to friends and family, and some have actually purchased it after seeing/using mine. For the price, it out does every other high end machine out there, such dyson/shark/G-tech, just to name a few, where you pay a stupid amount of money for something that does the same job, just not as good; those other machines are seriously over priced pieces of garbage that couldn't hold a candle up to the vax brand.

I would highly recommend this vacuum cleaner. Our old vacuum was also a Vax but a much older, heavier version. This is a lighter version with so many extras added on. I love the fact you can detach the bottom when cleaning the stairs making it much easier to handle. There are still many attachments I have yet to use. I was pleasantly surprised at how powerful this Vax was.

Best hoover for picking up pet hair the slider on the top is great for control of suction. I've bought other far more expensive vax hoovers and they're not a patch on this one. Good value for money highly recommended for pet owners like myself..

Absolutely love this Hoover cleans so much better than my last one which was a very well known brand. Easy to clean out great cable length very easy to move and lightweight. Bought it as a stop gap until I saved enough for another well known brand but think I will stick with this one.
