Very Disappointed with faulty Beko Freezer

    1/5
Beko freezer delivered with care by AO 2 days ago. I only had to turn it on after 4 hours. It is FAULTY and cannot get the running temp. down below -30 degrees. It should be -18. It is still running flat out at lowest setting and remains at -30 degrees. Does not respond to setting changes despite waiting several hours each time. It has now been running for 2 days like this. Tried every suggestion on Beko leaflet and carried out instructions exactly as advised in booklet. The inside of main door is thinly iced up, the front of the drawers have a layer of thin ice over them and it is billowing vapour when door is opened. I will be ringing Beko tomorrow as advised. I will not be accepting a repair and want a replacement which is fit for purpose. I am going to have to empty it tomorrow and turn it off. What a nightmare it is now after having trouble free delivery by AO.COM. I have taken pics of the vapour billowing and internal temp setting which prove what I am saying to be true. Hope AO post this truthful review.

Smaller than we expected. It has no indicator of what temperature it has reached ie no thermometer. Our last Beko did.

Disappointed with the very flimsy drawers and capacity is less than my old one. No outside thermometer so difficult to judge the temperature inside freezer.

Fast freezing. Unfortunately the inner small compartment of the freezer flap is fiddly and falls off easily. Cheap plastic used

Does the job, but smaller than anticipated compared to the 25-year old unit it replaced.

Not as good as the old

This replaced a Beko freezer that was around 30 years old. Looks good and went for the frost free option. Not nearly as much depth to this one just managed to cram my stuff in by taking things out of the boxes. There is a saying ‘they don’t make them like they used to’’ How true.

    Lack of indicators

Bought this Beko UFF4584W Frost Free Under Counter Freezer to replace a Zanussi freezer that had stopped freezing. The Beko freezer was of similar size, so slotted in seamlessly to the space vacated by the previous one. The Beko freezer is very quiet, so much so, that you are wondering if it is working properly. It does not have any lights on the front to indicate whether it is switched on or at the correct temperature, a feature that we dislike. After installation, we used an ice cube tray to let us know when it had reached its freezing temperature. There are no other indicators. There is plenty of freezing space in the three compartments but the trays are flimsy. OK for the price but probably wouldn’t buy one of these again.
