The design is nice overall but it is super hard to open. The seal is really tight. To open you need both hands as you need one to press against the freezer and one to pull the door open. If you have arthritis of any kind I do not reccomend. Hotpoint were kind enough to send out a air seal to help with this issue but it does not help. I am not happy with this purchase due to the difficulty in opening.

Everything great about this freezer except you need the strength of Iron Man to get the door open!

Excellent Freezer just what we wanted. The only thing we are not impressed with is the frailty of the plastic drop down doors on each shelf.

Great freezer, like the door alarm our old freezer didn’t have this. I think an external temperature gauge would be helpful. Changing door left to right, instructions could be a bit better as it’s diagrams only.

We've had the freezer a couple of weeks, and so far are very happy with it. The door is stiff to open, but otherwise it freezes well and is well designed inside for storing items. The capacity is smaller than our last freezer but it seems to hold as much.

Product is great, installation not so.
