Plastic (not so fantastic) noisy dryer

    2/5
Sorry to say that the build quality isn't what i was expecting, feels very plastic and a bit flimsy. yes it dries well but can take up to 3 hours for a King size duvet, sheet and pillow cases. My machine isn't that quiet either and has a very cloud click, almost a bang, mid way through the programme as it changes the cycle. Worst thing about it though is the door that can only be shut with a very firm hand and a very loud click/bang. At this price point i cant say i would recommend Bosch if I'm being honest

    Awful Tumble Drier

    1/5
Worst tumble drier that I have ever had the sorry misfortune to own. Timed Programme Warm, something that you need to get warm and dry the clothes just doesn't heat up. Bosch engineer told me nothing wrong with it and that this is how it works. A tumble drier that doesn't dry on a programme that I use regularly is no use. Avoid this heat pump tumble drier, save yourself stress and buy a tumble drier with a heater in it, just don't buy a heat pump drier.

Trump buys a dryer (honest review, though)

    3/5
Let me tell you, folks, This dryer—some people are saying it’s decent, and sure, it’s fine, but honestly, it’s a bit of a disaster, okay? It’s got all these settings—70 settings, can you believe that? Seventy! Who needs that many? Nobody! It’s a dryer, not a rocket ship. All you need is three: 1.Dry 2 Not So Dry 3. Warm and Damp. That’s it. Simple. Beautiful. But no, they overcomplicated it. Sad! Now, here’s the thing - it gets hot. SO hot, folks. I’m talking hotter than any other condenser dryer out there. Some people are calling it the hottest dryer they’ve ever seen. But guess what? It’s too hot. Your clothes? They shrink! A lot. I had a shirt, a beautiful shirt, perfect shirt, now it’s doll-sized. Unbelievable. You’ve got to mess with the settings, try this, try that—takes forever to get it right. But once you do, it’s efficient, I’ll give it that. It’s good. But why do I need to be a scientist to dry my clothes? Nobody has time for that. And let’s be honest, these fancy digital models? Totally overrated. I’m saying it right now—ditch the digital, go with a basic condenser dryer. Trust me, it’s the best move you’ll ever make. Everyone’s saying it. Drying time? Incredible. 5/5. Efficiency? Pretty good, 4/5. Ease of use? Total disaster. 1/5. My intelligence for buying it? Look, I’m smart, but this was a mistake. 1. Terrible. Just terrible

    Over priced

It’s ok but not worth the cost. Takes so long & is noisy for first 10 minutes. Looks lovely in the black I must admit.

    Great machine

    5/5
We've had this tumble dryer a few weeks now and so far, so good. This was to replace using the dryer part of a washer dryer so we are finding it significantly more efficient in terms of both drying ability and energy used to achieve this. There are plenty of cycles to choose from and the drum size is large so clothing has lots of room to dry without getting too crumpled. There's a reduced ironing function which seems to work relatively well, although anything cotton is always going to need smoothing out. Cleaning the fluff filter and emptying the condenser are intuitive and straightforward. We've just run a first cleaning cycle which was quite neat- you put hot tap water in the condenser and it uses that to clean the machine. All seems very considered. The only slight confusion we had was with the start button - all of the other buttons function with a light press and give instant feedback but the start button needs to be held down for 1-2 seconds. Initially we were concerned it was faulty until we contacted Bosch and they advised that it just needs a longer hold on it. Seems obvious now but maybe sharing this will help someone out!

    Good energy efficient tumble dryer

    4/5
Very good product. Dries items well and is very energy efficient compared to tumble dryers we’ve had in the past. Only real downside is the standard cotton cycle is over 3 hours long, but that seems to be the trend for most energy efficient heat pump dryers. It does offer a 40 minute quick dry cycle which we’ve used once on a small handful of clothes and that worked well which surprised me. Large capacity (not that we’ve ever run it at max capacity as our washer is only a 7kg machine) and internal light also really help with loading and unloading. Condenser drawer and filters are really easy to remove and empty too. Machine can be connected to waste pipe rather than the condenser drawer which is. Ice but not a feature we use due to its location. Would recommend.

Switching from a Vented to Heat pump

    5/5
Due to rising energy prices, made the switch from a vented to a heat pump dryer. Happy with the switch. However, here are the main drawbacks: 1. Units tend to be deeper, so make sure you have enough space 2. Drying times can be longer (especially if ambient temp is cold) 3. Water collection draw requires regular emptying - to avoid this and if possible, I would definitely recommend plumbing in the included waste pipe 4. Big price premium over a vented dryer. Main takeaway is, if you're not put off by the above the longer term cost saving benefits are a no brainer.

    Bosch for all the things

    5/5
We bought this to replace a Samsung heat pump dryer. Unfortunately with the Samsung model it required that you clean the heat exchanger fins very regularly and it was nigh on impossible to prevent a build up of felt/lint throughout the machine over time. The Bosch in the other hand has a self-cleaning function that you can run when it instructs you to. As for the drying itself - it is very quiet in operation and we are very happy with the features. The delivery experience with AO was very smooth too.
