Made an horrific shrieking noise whenever we used it

    1/5
We installed it perfectly. Totally horizontal surface. No vibration. But as soon as this machine goes into spin mode the drum inside vibrates very violently and shrieks at us incredibly loudly. I wish I could post a video. We are trying to get it looked at by Samsung. Failing that we will try to return it to AO. My first and last ever Samsung

underwear get stuck in the seal

    1/5
looks good and is quiet but there is one thing that is extremely frustrating! almost every washing at least one sock, parts of underwear or anything small get stack in the seal between drum and and door. The item is not washed and spinned so you have to hand wash it. Sometimes the washing capsule gets there, so you waste water, energy and time for washing without a detergent. Extremly dissapointed and shocked that something so basic was missed when designing the product.

    Unwashed socks and leaky door

    2/5
Small socks and sometimes even a washing capsule gets stuck between the main drum and the door seal. This means in nearly every wash you get left with one very wet, slightly soapy sock to go with the rest of the load. This combined with the door seal currently dripping water onto the floor (in a washing machine a couple of months old) isn’t making me feel I made the right choice of washing machine!

    Quiet Vibes

    5/5
Very pleased with this model so far. Our previous machine was a Hotpoint Ultima that had 9kg max load but there is not a noticeable difference in capacity in all honesty. What is immediately obvious though is how quiet this model is in comparison and how it hardly vibrates at all. The rubber vibration pads that we had to use under the Hotpoint to stop it dancing around the kitchen on spin (did not stop any washing up left on the drainer rattling though) have now been discarded as they are not needed here now. Have used cotton wash, with and without intense and bubblewash mode and have been happy with the results thus far. Also like the fact that it has a calibration mode to cycle through before first use after installation and if it ever is moved again and a drum wash reminder to clean the machine.

    Poor Quality & Unreliable Machine

    2/5
Machine was faulty. A noisy pump and it would sometimes stick for about 15 minutes between wash & rinse, between rinses and before spin. An hour's programme could take an hour and three quarters! Pump replaced but not fully repaired Samsung very unhelpful as they wanted to try another repair. AO replaced the machine. Second machine has a loose panel underneath the machine that rattles when spinning - I've padded it to stop the noise. Samsung quality control must be poor; cannot recommend their products. AO customer service and replacement delivery team were very good.

This machine makes a horrific shrieking noise

    1/5
We have had it five days. At low speeds it makes this horrifically loud shrieking noise. Like metal on metal. I cannot loud a video to show just how loud it is. But trust me you would not enjoy it in your home.

    Good but not great

    4/5
Bought to replace a previous Samsung that I had had for over 5 years and which I had been very pleased with. But sadly the motherboard started to malfunction with it and it was more cost effective to replace than repair! I do not think this machine is as good as my previous model. I find the wash times are incredibly long especially on the cotton setting, it weighs the washing then decides how long it will take so the initial time displayed when it starts can increase significantly. I think 3.5 hours to do a load is ridiculous so most of our garments are put on “mixed load” which takes about 1 hour 15mins!! The door seems to be less substantially made and doesn’t have a handle as such more a finger grab bit too pull the door open and I feel this is a weak point. I also do not find it to be any quieter than my previous model when it spins. Would I purchase this model again - probably not, I thought I had researched it quite well before buying but it’s only when you actually use it you find out all the pitfalls.

Warranty advert needs to be made clearer

    3/5
Product seems good so far, delivery was prompt BUT advertised as coming with a 5 year warranty. The documentation it came with stated a 2 year warranty. Went back onto the AO website and there is a 5 year warranty but only when you register with Samsung. None of this is made plain in the advert, so.... go onto the samsung website and that model is not in any of the lists. It also asks for a serial number which will be difficult to get now the item is fitted. Expected better from AO.
