First the good things: it really is as quiet as it claims, and the little song it plays at the end of the cycle is really cute. But the horrible plastic smell that hasn't fully faded after a fortnight, and still imparts on to the clothes, isn't cute at all. It's burnt-rubbery and awful and for the first week of running cleaning cycles and airing it out in between, it was giving me a headache if I didn't open the windows. I'm hoping the smell will continue to fade. Another thing I dislike about this machine is the eco 40-60 setting, which I thought meant was a choice between 40 for mixed loads and 60 for cotton, but no, it's a cycle that does both temperatures. If you want 60, you want 60, and if you need 40, you need 40. I used the eco cycle almost exclusively on my old machine and I don't think I'll ever use this, and I can't see why anyone would.

it is noisier than previous samsung washing machine and it has vibrated since ao installed it. I am goingto have to get someone out to check installation before ringing samsung. not had it long so not impressed

Machine was faulty. A noisy pump and it would sometimes stick for about 15 minutes between wash & rinse, between rinses and before spin. An hour's programme could take an hour and three quarters! Pump replaced but not fully repaired Samsung very unhelpful as they wanted to try another repair. AO replaced the machine. Second machine has a loose panel underneath the machine that rattles when spinning - I've padded it to stop the noise. Samsung quality control must be poor; cannot recommend their products. AO customer service and replacement delivery team were very good.

Small socks and sometimes even a washing capsule gets stuck between the main drum and the door seal. This means in nearly every wash you get left with one very wet, slightly soapy sock to go with the rest of the load. This combined with the door seal currently dripping water onto the floor (in a washing machine a couple of months old) isn’t making me feel I made the right choice of washing machine!

I went for Samsung because my last machine was this brand and I feel confident in the name. I noticed on my last wash that the machine was making an unusual noise I'm hoping it just the way the installation team placed my machine . Only time will tell.

Positives are: Its v quite when running. It holds a large load. The controls are easy to understand. The big negative is that all the cycles other than the 15 minute wash are over 2.5 hrs. I have ended up stopping the wash after an hour or so and manually changing it on the rinse and spin. The 15 minute wash has a slow spin so again I have to manually change it to a higher spin.

The machine is a good machine but the service was bad

I just don't like the tune when it's finished the cycle. Other than that, it's very good machine over all.
