    False Advertising

Washing machine seems fine - no better than my previous 8yr old Bosch. One star due to false advertising - product states TWO year warranty - not 5 year warranty.

So disappointed with this machine! A few months after I bought it, there was a product fault with the door seal which caused a leak from the door, flooding my room and leaking to the floor below. Samsung customer service said they would look into it and although my plumber and the engineer have said it was due to a poor quality seal, they will not accept responsibility. Customer service is shockingly bad. Really recommend that you don’t buy this brand as you will have to deal with non helpful customer service team based in the Philippines.

Design flaws all over the place

    1/5
This washing machine has so many design flaws! Socks and other small items, especially children's clothes, get wedged at the bottom of the door during the wash, can't escape and therefore don't get washed, but also come out soaking wet. Every single cycle we have multiple items that get stuck. Cloth wipes are particularly vulnerable for this. The wash cycle options are poor when it comes to the length of time. A mixed load is 1 hour and clothes don't come out clean, the eco wash is 2.75 hours and the cotton load says it will be 1.5 hours, but once you start the cycle, it changes to over 3 hours. I need to know how long the cycle is going to be before I start it, and the huge difference between mixed, and eco/cottons is really poor. When setting the child lock, you have to touch both buttons perfectly simultaneously, if you touch one of them even a fraction of a second before the other one, you end up changing the temperature or the number of rinse cycles, and it'll lock before you've had time to realise what happened. You can't apply the child lock with the door open, therefore if you need to dry the drum out, your child could close the washing machine and set it running. I gather this is so that the child can't lock themself in the drum, but it would be best if it could be set with the door open, and it won't let the door be closed if you've chosen to leave it open. The filter/drain compartment is so easy to open, that if you've got kids, they are going to play with it relentlessly. Most of the buttons are touchpad type buttons, so if you accidentally brush past or lean near the washing machine whilst it's running, it'll start beeping at you, because you accidentally got too close to the button and it thinks you're trying to make changes (which you can't do anyway whilst it's running).

    DO NOT BUY!!!!

DO MOT BUY THIS WASHING MACHINE! I purchased this washing machine in April 2022 it’s not even a year old yet I have had to have a Samsung engineer come out on four separate occasions to replace the PCB board as it keeps blowing.. in total I have had to use my mum and mother in laws washing machine for 4 weeks while I have waited for the machine to be fixed.. can I add that the Samsung engineers have all said that this is a common fault on these machines AO do not care about the item being faulty and are just pushing the blame on Samsung who in return are blaming it on AO I just want my money back so I can buy another washing machine Also i have a 11 month old baby who has had to wear some clothes twice unwashed due to the incompetence of both companies! I will not be using AO again!! Steer clear! Poor customer service!

While the machine may be quite good. I bought this because your web site said 5 year guarantee, only to find it is 2 years on machine and 10 on the DRIVE MOTOR.... Wow ;-( VERY VERY misleading

    Should have bought a Hotpoint!

Less than a month into buying this machine, we noticed a leak. We phoned Samsung who initially wanted to help us, they told us to try different things. Then we noticed the leak was coming from the door, that was the end of their support. The seal is slightly misshapen in one place, their solution was for us to pay £134 for a replacement seal despite the fact we had had it for such a short time. The seal is not covered by the warranty! AO tried to negotiate with them but there was nothing they would do. We were not happy about paying for something that could happen again a month later. In 26 years I have had 2 hotpoints with no problems until they came to the end of their lives. I should have stuck with the same.

    Terrible after/sales service

    1/5
Broke after only a few washes, these things happen but I have had a nightmare trying to get support from Samsung. Must have called 20 times having to repeat all information over and over. Now they say I may have to pay for repair! Over a month later I still have not had any repair and having to travel to friend to use her washing machine. I would avoid any Samsung washing machine simply because their after service is appalling

Absolute junk. There's a known fault that triples the wash time on cotton cycles (big threads about it on Samsungs own community page) but when you speak to samsung they deny all knowledge. Absolutely abysmal support care from the manufacturers - I'd rather ingest broken glass than have to speak to them again. Beware, your warranty is worthless.
