Absolute junk. There's a known fault that triples the wash time on cotton cycles (big threads about it on Samsungs own community page) but when you speak to samsung they deny all knowledge. Absolutely abysmal support care from the manufacturers - I'd rather ingest broken glass than have to speak to them again. Beware, your warranty is worthless.

    Do not Recommend

Unfortunately after 15 months, the rubber seal has completely disintegrated, for a washing machine that was rather expensive I think it's disgraceful and upon further research it seems to be a common problem with this machine. I would get in touch with Samsung to argue that they should replace the seal but I have lost faith in the brand so will look for a more reliable washing machine brand. Do not recommend Samsung at all.

I bought a Samsung washing machine eleven months ago and last week it started to leak. The engineer came out and replaced the door seal, door seals are not covered under my five year guarantee and I was charged £99 . ao.com and samsung seem to think that this is a reasonable length of time for a door seal to last ! I asked engineer what use is my 5 year guarantee and he said it has no use ! I will not be buying anything from ao.com or Samsung again

worst nightmare: fault washing machine delivered leaving us unable to wash our clothes

    1/5
The washing machine has been leaking since it's first wash. We report this to AO immediately. We are now waiting for a Samsung engineer to come round and confirm that the product is faulty. We returned from holiday on the evening of the 23rd of March and the earliest time AO could provide an engineer to come round is Monday 27th March. It's very frustrating that AO were not able to provide an engineer as soon as we returned from our holiday (they had 4 - 5 days notice to arrange this). As such, we've returned from holiday unable to wash any of our clothes ourselves. My pregnant wife and I are having to drive our dirty washing to family and do our washing there until this issue is resolved. Given that we paid AO to take our old machine and install a replacement we were not expecting to be left without a functioning washing machine; this is really is the worst case scenario. I doubt we will ever be able to trust AO again with any purchases like this.

Worst machine and will be returning

We are really unhappy with this product and will be contacting AO today to return it. I can only assume the machine is faulty as it is so loud it sounds like a steam train coming through the house. It also has made a hole in the concrete floor where one foot takes all the pressure. We have tried rebalancing it many different ways but nothing works. I simply can't use like this and will be returning.

Dreadful washing machine, the drum is permanently off balance. The machine moves constantly banging from side to side. Checked the delivery bolts had all been removed which they have. Awful machine wouldn’t recommend to anyone.

    Too smart for me

    3/5
Oh for the days when washing machines just got on and did the job. This is a good solid bit of kit, but unfortunately it's just a tad too brainy. I ran into problems trying to do 40C cotton washes. Switch it on and it tells you that the cycle will take 1hr27 - great. I happened to glance at the timer some half-hour later and it was up to over 3 hours! The same happened on the subsequent two washes, so, suspecting a fault, I contacted Samsung Customer Services. They were unable to tell me whether or not this is normal behaviour, so they sent out an engineer. (Engineers used to arrive with a toolbox - now it's just a gizmo. Boy, am I getting old). Having gizmoized the machine, engineer pronounces it to be in fine fettle. Apparently the machine is so smart that it constantly adjusts the wash time to account for the weight of the washing, the water temperature, the cleanliness of the water and who knows what else (barometric pressure? sunspot activity?) - there's certainly no information on this in the manual, but then it may be buried in some obscure corner of t'Interweb for all I know. Oh well, I have it for at least 5 years now (excellent parts and labour warranty) and I'm sure we'll become fine friends - after all, I'm destined to spend many a long hour listening to it whispering gently to me.

Lots of programmes are not 9kg

    4/5
The machine works really well but I think there are a couple of issues that I find annoying - no review (including Which) has mentioned this as far as I can tell: 1, The machine is nominally 9kg and there are 8kg and 7kg model in the range many of the programmes have lmits of 4kg or lower for all models - the 9kg isn't worth it - may as well get 9kg. So check carefully - take the duvet to the launderette. 2, The programmes themselves are not as intuitive or flexible as I would like: "Cottons" is 20C - that's unexpected. You cannot choose 1400 rpm spin for many programmes. On the other hand, it may last long enough to see me out.
