Works very well as a vacuum and has great run time. Unfortunately the wheel on the carpet attachment has fallen off after 3 months. Dyson cannot offer a replacement part and so have to take the whole vacuum away despite the hard floor part being fine. Having no vacuum in the school holidays is far from ideal and being around for 2 courier visits is also very poor.

It's a great device. It's easy to move around, simple to empty, and the battery charges rapidly. The volume of material it can take up on a seemingly clean carpet is astonishing, and it is extremely thorough at removing dust and small particles. The display provides valuable information on whether a patch on the floor is clean. It works great on hard floors, but you have to change the head. The battery life is acceptable. You get about 25 minutes on auto and 40 minutes on eco mode.

When you own a golden retriever you need a vacuum cleaner with plenty of suck. This Dyson has plenty of suck and is perfect for picking up all the pet hair and dust and dirt deposited on the carpets by our lovely but very hairy pooch. I highly recommend the Dyson Gen5detect.

Best Dyson , Easy to put together and lots of features to ensure you can vacuum the whole house with ease. The first thing I was impressed with was the build quality, not heavy, easy to use
