Fitted straight into the housing unit my old one came out of. Doors needed changing to opening to opposite see which was easy done. So far so good. Yes it is a bit noisy but luckily when the cabinet doors are shut it’s just noticeable. Just hope it last 15 years like the one it’s replaced
