    AEG IKE64441FB 59cm Induction Hob - Black

    £479

    Key Features

    Product Overview

Make mealtimes a breeze with this sleek and stylish electric hob from AEG. Because it has 4 induction zones, electromagnets directly heat the base of your pots rather than the whole hob surface, to save energy. Plus, clever MaxiSense technology detects their exact shape and size, and sends heat only to that area. This makes for super-safe cooking and prevents heat being wasted. If you need to quickly boil vegetables for a delicious roast dinner, the PowerBoost function rapidly heats a zone to its highest temperature, so they’ll be ready in no time at all. And, the Hob2Hood feature lets you connect it to a compatible cooker hood, which will automatically turn on when it detects steam from your pans.

    Features we love

Cooking on the hob made even safer

Preparing dishes on the hob couldn’t get any faster, safer or more efficient, thanks to induction technology. Unlike your gas or ceramic hob, induction ones use electromagnets beneath the surface to recognise the size and shape of your induction pans. This tells it exactly where it needs to send heat to, and it’ll only start to warm up when your pot is on top, keeping you safe in the kitchen.

Plenty of space for bigger pans

AEG’s Single Bridging Zone feature lets you combine areas for more versatile cooking. Because 2 zones can merge to make one big one at the touch of a button, it’ll heat the entire surface of larger pans to warm your food more evenly. This creates the perfect opportunity to experiment with wok cooking too, and if you’re feeling extra adventurous, it’ll even fit a hot plate for griddling the most succulent meat.

    Always cook safely and efficiently

The MaxiSense® feature on this induction hob detects the size and shape of your pans, however big or small they are. By doing this, it knows exactly where your pots are and only sends heat to that area. As energy isn’t being wasted around the outside of the zones, the surface is cool to touch everywhere else. This means it’s not only really efficient, but it’s super-safe too.

    Create the perfect cooking area

By connecting this hood to a compatible hob, AEG’s Hob2Hood feature offers a hands-free way of managing your cooking environment. When you turn your hob on, it communicates with the hood via infrared, so the lights will come on too. It’ll even recognise when your kitchen is getting smokier and will boost the power to control it. This means that you’ll never find yourself fumbling with the controls.

    Easily control the cooking

Thanks to AEG’s innovative Direktouch controls, selecting the perfect settings has never been simpler. Whether you’re sliding your way to maximum power, or quickly tapping it back down to a lower level, you’ll always get a speedy response. And, because they’re effortless to use, you’ll find the temperature easy to adjust whilst you’re cooking.

    Tips for measuring up

When measuring for an induction hob, the depth and height are usually standard, so you should focus on measuring the width – it’ll be between 60 and 90cm. Also, you need to make sure no cupboards will hang over the hob, and that there’s at least 65cm between the hob and your cooker hood.

Buy one! You won't regret it!

    5/5
Excellent hob. Very responsive and looks great in our kitchen. In my opinion, the best balance of cost against features of all the induction hobs from AO.

    Brilliant hob

    5/5
Been coming on gas for the last 20 odd years, but this is so much better! Pans get hotter faster, it's easier to control the temperature and the quality of this AEG hob is fantastic. Installed quickly by the AO team. Overall a great experience and very happy with the product. Highly recommended

    Lovely hob

    5/5
Really nice hob. Looks lovely, functions well and easy for an electrician to fit. Somewhat glad our old one packed in.

    Superb!

    5/5
Superb! Couldn't recommend this hob enough. We upgraded from a ceramic hob we bought to move in to the property a year ago, and the difference is like night and day. The control through the induction is ten fold better than a standard electric hob. Cooks superbly and the pan sensor and bridging feature are a massive bonus. Really easy to use and we will be looking at an AEG oven next!
    Matt

Nice hob easy to operate. Some downfalls as I was probably spoilt by previous top quality Dedietrich one.

    4/5
Purchased this to replace my old Dedietrich one that I had had for about 13 years. Chose the hob2hood feature and maxisense version with bridging zone as a really good sounding upgrade and hoped for as good a quality as previous one. Hob2hood works very well. Bridging zone not as versatile as I thought it would be. Pan has to be big enough to cover both centre points of the 2 zones. Not many pans that big. Maxisense works as described. Downfall for me, does not heat up or cool down as quickly as my old Dedietrich so 4 stars. The power boost setting no where near as quick as old one from 13 years ago and was surprised how long the surface took to cool down to be safe enough to touch even.
