    Product Overview

Perfect your favourite dishes with this electric hob from AEG. It has 4 induction zones to choose from, which use electromagnets to heat the base of your pans instead of the hob’s surface – so you can cook safely and efficiently. It’s efficient too, as the MaxiSense zones detect the size of your pans and only heat up the areas you need. If you have particularly large cookware, the Double Bridge function merges cooking zones to give you more space for big pans and casserole dishes. It even has clever pan detection technology, which will only heat up the hob when it senses cookware on top – so you’ll never need to worry about accidents while you’re preparing your masterpiece.

    Features we love

Cooking on the hob made even safer

Preparing dishes on the hob couldn’t get any faster, safer or more efficient, thanks to induction technology. Unlike your gas or ceramic hob, induction ones use electromagnets beneath the surface to recognise the size and shape of your induction pans. This tells it exactly where it needs to send heat to, and it’ll only start to warm up when your pot is on top, keeping you safe in the kitchen.

    Always cook safely and efficiently

The MaxiSense® feature on this induction hob detects the size and shape of your pans, however big or small they are. By doing this, it knows exactly where your pots are and only sends heat to that area. As energy isn’t being wasted around the outside of the zones, the surface is cool to touch everywhere else. This means it’s not only really efficient, but it’s super-safe too.

    Easily control the cooking

Thanks to AEG’s innovative Direktouch controls, selecting the perfect settings has never been simpler. Whether you’re sliding your way to maximum power, or quickly tapping it back down to a lower level, you’ll always get a speedy response. And, because they’re effortless to use, you’ll find the temperature easy to adjust whilst you’re cooking.

    Delicious dinners in less time

Whether you’re flash-frying steak for an Oriental stir-fry or bringing fresh pasta to the boil, the handy Power Boost function on this AEG hob is here to help. With just the touch of a button, you can summon an intense blast of heat that’ll have your pans sizzling before you know it. So, not only will you be saving precious time in the kitchen, but you’ll have the power you need to cook up some truly delectable dishes.

Cook with larger pots and pans

AEG’s Double Bridging Zones feature combines zones on each side of the hob to create two larger areas. Just tap the feature’s button on the control panel, and the front and back zones will merge together. You can even connect both sides at the same time, creating space to cook larger dishes for more people. It’s the ideal reason to expand your culinary horizons, and the perfect excuse to buy that fancy plancha grill.

    The best hob ever!

    5/5
Absolutely loving it! Having put up with faulty, glitchy, picky Bosch induction hobs for years, we opted for a Ceramic hob which was a big mistake but found this AEG Induction Hob on AO, and it really is true dream to use. None of the fuss and noise the others made, with blinking lights and beeping beepers every time a drop of water touches the surface. This AEG hob is mild mannered and a pleasure to own. It looks good, behaves itself and works exactly as it should. There isn't anything to dislike about it. Absolutely no regrets about buying this hob, just wish we'd done it years ago.

    AEG IKE64450FB better than expected

    5/5
Replaced an old solid plate hob for this induction. Easy to fit, had to enlarge the hole but fitted using existing wires as cables are not supplied. To get things to fry or boil need to be over ten setting which has a low hum but not annoying. Still warm even after warning light goes out but will not burn. After some getting used to, I'm very pleased with this product. Comes with 2 year warranty.

Product seems to do all it is supposed to. As yet not had much opportunity to use it.

    Good, not perfect

    4/5
Easy to install (albeit the screw terminals almost seem undersized for the gauge of cable needed). Be mindful (as with most induction hobs) this doesn't come pre-supplied with cable - you/your installer will need to source this yourself. Touch controls are fairly responsive, the hob is very quick to heat up/cool down, and handles larger pans well (30cm+). Fan is audible but not overly loud. The per-heating area timer function is great, as is the auto-off if no pan is detected. There's a high pitched whine that can be heard with a particular combination of hobs/power levels, which I'm hopeful will go away with time. Easy to clean.
