When you turn your hob on, it communicates with the hood via infrared, so the lights will come on too. Clever hob remembers your settings
Slips and spills happen. And induction hobs are delightfully easy to clean, but if you lift the pan for a second, the heat goes out. It’s a great safety feature, but not so great when you’re trawling through the settings again. Heat Memory saves you the faff and remembers which temperature you were cooking on for up to 2 minutes. So, you can give it a good stir if the bottom’s starting to stick and get back to cooking ASAP. How handy.

This was a replacement for an older AEG hob which got broken. We were delighted with it as it has been upgraded. Easier to use and the slide functions is much better for controlling the heat. It also has a 'pause' function allowing all the hobs to run oi the lowest setting This one also has timers for each hob and a bridge function allowing you to connect two side hobs to act as one. All in all it has exceeded our expectations.

Very happy with the hob. 4 stars as our first model broke after 18 months so had to get a new one. Manufacturer did reimburse us for the replacement but did have to push for that.
