    Product Overview

This stylish Miele ceramic hob would add the perfect finishing touch to any modern kitchen. With 4 cooking zones, there’s plenty of space for creating different dishes at the same time. There’s also a residual heat indicator, which not only lets you know when it’s too hot to touch, but when it’s safe to clean as well. Plus, the clever Auto Heat Up function will quickly warm your dishes, before switching down to a lower heat to prevent over boiling. If you’re preparing for a dinner party, this model’s flexible zones can join up to make room for bigger pans. It’s been tested for 20 years’ use too, for added peace of mind.

    Features we love

    One touch for total control

There are no buttons or dials on this stylish hob. Instead, with a tap of a finger you can turn on your chosen cooking zone, select your ideal temperature and even lock the hob to prevent any accidental changes. So, you’ll be able to choose each setting with ease and precision.

    See the detail up close

Cook with small pans or big woks

Because this hob has cooking zones of different sizes, you’ll be able to cook with any pot or pan. The smaller ones are ideal for gentle cooking with little omelette pans – and they save energy too. For more rapid heat, you’ll find the larger zones more powerful and best to use with bigger woks or frying pans. So, you’ll always have the perfect zone to suit your cookware, making it safe and efficient.

    Heat indicator prevents burnt fingertips

Because this hob has a residual heat indicator for each zone, you’ll find it much safer to use. When an area is still hot, the red light will turn on – so you’ll know there’s still leftover heat to keep food warm. Then, the light switches off once the zone’s cooled down. This shows when it’s safe to touch again, letting you wipe it clean without risk of burning your fingers.

Speedy cooking means you do not have to wait around

With the clever auto heat-up function, you’ll never have to wait long for your meal to cook. When you choose this option, the zone automatically switches on at the highest heat setting. Then, it lowers to the temperature you choose, to let your food finish cooking. So, it’s great if you’re preparing pasta – the water will boil extra-quickly, which means it’ll be ready to serve in no time.

Safely turns off if things get too hot

To give you added peace of mind, each cooking zone has overheat protection. If your pan is empty or isn’t evenly placed on the zone, the hob will detect the surface getting too hot and it’ll switch off the heating element. Then, once the zone has cooled down again, the heat will turn on again. This makes cooking extra-safe, so you can enjoy preparing your favourite dishes in confidence.

    Tips for measuring up

When measuring for a ceramic hob, the depth and height are usually standard, so you should focus on measuring the width – it’ll be between 60 and 90cm. Also, you need to make sure no cupboards will hang over the hob, and that there’s at least 65cm between the hob and your cooker hood. Learn more with our guide.

    Excellent Mielle Hob

    5/5
Product is very functional and fit for purpose. Very satisfied with it. There's nothing not to like.

    Close but no cigar

    3/5
We previously had another make of hob and needed a replacement. Size was critical so the choice was reduced, also we wanted ceramic not induction. On the whole we preferred the old hob because the new Milele hob has a stainless steel rim whereas the old hob was just plain black with a bevelled edge and fitted closer to,the worktop and looked neater. The old hob had 5 cooking areas this one has 4 and not as many extending zones. On the whole it is ok but not over the moon!

If you’ve bought a new appliance but you don’t want us to connect it for you, all you’ll need to do is disconnect your old one, empty it and place it by the entrance of your property, ready for us to pick up. Or, if you’ve ordered our connection service with a new appliance, we’ll disconnect your old one for you.

If you haven’t bought a new appliance, we can still collect your old one and take it away for recycling. However, as we won’t be able to come into your home to disconnect it, you’ll need to make sure it’s by the entrance to your property, ready for us to pick up. Our experts will recycle it safely and responsibly in our state-of-the-art facility.

The cost of our Remove & Recycle service goes towards safely transporting the product to our recycling plant. Under the WEEE regulations, recycling costs are primarily covered by the product manufacturer.

Also, while we’re picking up your appliance, if you’ve got any smaller kitchen electricals that need recycling – such as kettles, toasters or blenders – we’ll happily take those away too at no extra charge. Just pass them to your driver when we’re picking up your larger appliance.
