    Welcome back to my mini-series with @ao where we make easy healthy meals in a slow cooker. This time it’s the nation’s favourite Chicken Tikka Masala.
    This recipe couldn’t be easier, everything into the slow cooker, turn it on and have a beautiful meal waiting for you when you get home from work!

    Serve with naan or rice and a side salad for a comforting, delicious meal the whole family will love!

    Here's what You'll Need to Serve Four!

    • 500gms chicken thighs - cubed
    • 1 red onion - finely chopped
    • 1 cinnamon stick
    • 5 Black cardamoms
    • 1 tsp cumin seeds
    • 1 tsp minced garlic
    • 1 tsp minced ginger
    • 1 tsp turmeric
    • 1 tsp ground coriander powder
    • 1-2 tsp garam masala (skip if you would like it milder
    • 100gm tomato purée
    • 1tbsp tomato ketchup
    • ½ tin finely chopped tomatoes
    • 1 large handful coriander - finely chopped
    • 100mls double cream or coconut milk

    Step 1

    Add all the ingredients, except the cream to the slow cooker and cook on low for 6 hours.

    Step 2

    When ready to serve, stir in the cream or coconut milk.

    Step 3

    Serve with rice or naan and a side salad
