With over 20 years of clinical experience, she is dedicated to transforming family cooking and nutrition. As a mother of two, Chintal understands the importance of fostering healthy eating habits from an early age. She has extensive experience working with diverse communities, spanning various socio-economic backgrounds and ethnicities, which has given her unique insights into the challenges families face when it comes to preparing and enjoying nutritious meals together.
Recognising the common hurdles of time constraints, limited nutritional knowledge and a lack of cooking skills, she is committed to empowering families. Her goal is to inspire parents to cook from scratch, providing their loved ones with wholesome, affordable and accessible meals that the whole family can enjoy. Her debut cookbook, Dr Chintal’s Kitchen published in July 2024, features accessible, easy, nutritious recipes designed to inspire families to cook from scratch, focusing on what to add to your meals to enhance your diet for optimum nutrition and health, rather than restricting certain foods.
Chintal has run many community workshops, collaborating with schools, food banks and charities, to empower families with cooking skills and nutritional knowledge. Through her engaging cookery classes and health education workshops she equips both adults and children with the tools to create healthy, tasty meals.
Dr Chintal contributes to various publications and podcasts, including Good Food Magazine & FoodFM; runs cookery classes and health education workshops for adults and children, both privately and at Waitrose Cookery School. She also develops recipes and delivers educational workshops for selected food brands, schools and companies.
