What about size?

As a standard rule, a 7kg capacity drum is great for small households, while 10kg is best for medium to large households. You can also go with an extra-large 12kg+ capacity if you’ve always got plenty of washing to do.

Measuring up for your freestanding washing machine

You’ll need accurate measurements before choosing a machine, as you don’t want to be stuck with nowhere to put it on delivery day.

If you’re going to pop it under a worktop, check the width, height, and depth of the space. You’ll also want to leave an extra 7cm at the back for the pipes. Most models are 85cm tall and the measurements for each are displayed on our website.
