I’ve had a Nespresso machine for the espresso capsules for around 7 years and find in fantastic but sometimes I want a longer coffee. This machines makes it so much easier, it was easy to set up and the movable shelf for different sized cups is great. The machine comes with 12 different coffees to try so it’s great for seeing which ones you like best before ordering a box. All in all it’s a great machine and easy to use ??

I was looking for an upgrade to my old Nespresso machine, which used the smaller original pod system. The idea of being able to choose different sizes and styles of coffee with the Vertuo system is a real plus. The coffee is great too, from the large travel mug size down to the more original espresso size. The machine comes with a nice selection box of coffee, which was useful to get an idea of which ones to buy afterwards. On an environmental note, the machine comes with a bag to use for recycling the aluminium pods after use, these can be dropped off at the Nespresso 'Boutiques'. The machine itself looks great and is so easy to set up and use. The Vertuo Next machine boasts of app connectivity; however, I could not see any benefits to using the app. One minor downside to the machine that I have found is that the cable is a little too short and where I store it in my kitchen means I have to move it closer to a socket every time I use the machine.

So, love coffee of all sorts but when I want a longer coffee hit, particularly to take with me, instant coffee just doesn't make the cut and my original Nespresso machine is just too small (size of coffee, not machine) so I tried the new Vertuo Next. First of all, it tastes great. There is a massive choice from a quick espresso to the 414ml Alto - perfect for my travel mug, and they are all like they were made in my local coffee shop. The crema is really good, and looks so impressive in a glass mug - Add a little milk BEFORE you start and you get something resembling a flat white. It's very quick and effortless as the machine knows what capsule is in, and after connecting to Wifi can actually be updated over the air?! - I can literally hit the open button, pop it in and press go, by the time I’ve made a bite to eat it ready to drink no matter what I’ve decided to enjoy!!

Nespresso Vertuo comes in three forms when it comes to all of the machines, they have the same features so you are just paying for style. One-touch operation makes an easy coffee machine to use. Nespresso provides a good array of coffee types, plenty of coffee choices in my opinion, including flavoured ones, espresso, double espresso, grand lungo, mug and alto (large mug) options. There’s a barcode on each capsule which tells the machine how to prepare the coffee and how much liquid to dispense. Additionally, you can manually stop the flow of coffee when you’re done, or you can top up with extra water. The coffee flavour will depend on the capsules that you use. However, there is a bitter after taste that you don't get comparing to a coffee shop espresso machine this could be due to more water coming thru the capsule to make a longer coffee. Nespresso Vertuo is easy to maintain, thanks to the centrifugal brewing system you don’t get any drips once you’ve removed your mug of coffee, so the pods come out relatively dry. You’ll need to clean the drip tray from time to time, although the centrifugal. You can connect to the coffee machine via an app, first set up could be tricky and vary from a device to another. Throughout the app, you can update the firmware on the coffee machine, but there’s little you can do once it’s online. Just don't spend time looking for the "make my d.. coffee while I'm not in the room" button because it's not there. Nespresso, try to improve their sustainability image, now you can request a free recycling bag by picking one up in a Boutique, order online, or call them. All capsules are completely recyclable for free via stores or organised collection points. Just place your used capsules in the Nespresso recycling bag and when your bag is filled to the line seal it securely, then select the most suitable option to return your pods to Nespresso for recycling. Is up to the consumer to decide whether can rely on than Nestle will do the right thing when comes to capsules recycling. If you want half-decent coffee in a hurry at home, and with precious little mess, this is as good as it gets. The coffee is consistently strong and drinkable, and the range of capsules provide lots of different options and flavours, which is great for when you fancy a change. Although I would have liked to have seen some sort of milk frother on the machine - it feels like a machine that would benefit from this add-on.

Love my new coffee maker. Tank holds enough water that you are not refilling every 5 minutes. The coffee is great quality. My only negative would be that you cannot buy the pods in supermarkets and either have to buy online or go to Nespresso outlets which are few and far between but the journey to get the coffee is worth it!

Does exactly want I wanted. Good cup of coffee at the press of a button.

Stylish, great size of water tank, not too loud, great range of coffee. Only bad thing is the cable length but it's pretty standard for most small kitchen appliances.
