    Compact and easy

    4/5
The machine is a great size for my tiny kitchen and it was quick and easy to set up. I also set up the app which was easy to use and a great tool for ordering as well as machine maintenance. The mugs from Nespresso are lovely but one thing that is frustrating about the machine is that you basically can't use the drip tray unless you use a small cup so it feels mostly pointless. I understand there isn't much they can do about this so having it be detachable is perfect. When making hot drinks I tend to use the milk frother as the coffee isn't that hot, I have preferred making iced drinks so far since I haven't found a drink I love yet. There are a lot of drink capsules to choose from, but It is frustrating that you can only buy them through Nespresso directly at the moment. Hopefully one day other brands will be able to make them too. The main reason I would only give four stars is, that although there is a choice, I have yet to love any of the flavours. I think you have to experiment with the flavours and types of drinks to find your go-to drink of choice. The subscription is a great way to try different capsules and I like that they have the option to recycle the capsules. (Yet to have filled a bag up!) The machine is straightforward and you can very quickly make a coffee in the morning. It is quite loud but quick, so it isn't much of an issue. Ultimately I would recommend if you already know you like the Nespresso coffee but otherwise, I would suggest their other machines which have the other sizes of capsules with more brands to choose from in terms of capsules! I think it's great that the capsules remove themselves when lifting the lid which avoids pods lingering in the machine. It would also be perfect if you love black coffee since you need a frother to make the hot milk-based drink. I would recommend the frother generally as it's a great tool on its own and it has worked a charm on all my types of milk, it does tend to be better when not filled to the max. The machine itself is lovely-looking, I chose black but I love the bold colours too. It is modern and compact so perfect if you are lacking worktop space like myself. I think it will take time and more usage but so far I really like the machine.

    The most stylish coffee machine

    4/5
I absolutely loved receiving this coffee machine, and it looked so stylish in person. I can’t wait for my kitchen to be complete as this coffee machine will complete the look. I love the fact that the design is compact, it is light and looks great. It can be quite noisy like all coffee machines but is it very quick to heat up the water as well as making the coffee. I also love the fact you don’t need to empty out the pods each time as when you unlock the machine to put in a new pod it automatically throws the old pod into the mini bin which sits inside the machine, meaning it is less fiddly between making coffees. All in all I would recommend. I loved the autumn offer with the free aeroccino which made the coffee machine very good money for value - I am now saving a lot of costs by not buying lattes which is a bonus!

    First coffee machine I’ve owned

    5/5
I do love drinking coffee and have never owned a coffee machine it was nice to try this Nespresso as obviously the brand has a great reputation. Upon arrival the Vertuo was very easy to set up, take it out the box, plug it in and attach and fill the tank. Personally I fill the tank with bottled water as this avoids any potential limescale build up if you live in a hard water area. Overall this is by far the simplest coffee machine I've used (in a good way!) as it’s literally a single button press. The machine reads the barcode on each coffee capsule and adjusts the settings automatically. This does mean that you should make sure you have the right size cup underneath! As if you put a small espresso cup and it’s a lungo capsule then it’ll overflow so worth noting. My only con is it can be a little loud but that’s only for a few seconds!!

Great barista coffee at home- shame about the need for pod subscription

    4/5
I ordered my Nespresso Virtuo Pop Magimix on a Friday, it was delivered to me within 48h. The quality of the product and values of the brand are clear from unboxing, so great to see the box handle not typically plastic but instead a reinforced paper- love the Nespresso focus on sustainability. The machine itself is bigger than I expected, but is fine on the countertop tucked away in a corner. The in-built storage for used pods is great, I like the convenience of not having to replace and recycle the pod every time. I can empty the container when it suits me and I’ve got the time to empty and rinse through the pods for recycling. I registered for an account on the Nespresso website, alongside my serial number to secure the warranty, and completed the form for the promotion to secure the £75 coffee subscription credit and free milk frother. Within 24h I’d had the proof of purchase and claim approved by Nespresso, and they sent through the code for the promotion to input into the website. It wasn’t overly clear to me from anything I’d read, about how the subscription worked. I think this should be made much clearer by Nespresso. To clarify: you take the subscription with an added delivery charge, (and in the case of the promotion, 50% of the subscription cost is discounted at source), which is then processed and credited to your account, for you to select the products of your choice with ‘free’ delivery (not free- I’ve already paid for it!). Noting here is where the catch comes in, the minimum order is for 50 capsules (10 per sleeve) but there are only 6 varieties (out of 48) at £4.40 each so totalling just £3 less than the £25 monthly subscription…If you want others from the extensive variety you will end up spending more than the credit value to meet the minimum delivery threshold of 50. That being said, the coffee is good! I like the variety, and the versions you can create with the steamed/frothed milk from the Aeroccino3. The Virtuo Pop is a great little machine for decent coffee when you don’t have the money/inclination to spend hundreds on a bean to cup machine. It’s a shame that it’s not more versatile in its own right, for milk-based coffee- without a separate machine- but perfect for black coffee. I would say that the machine is user friendly, although perhaps no good for people with poor grip/hand function, the twist turn on the top is very stiff. Decent coffee at home with a variety of flavours and tastes.

    Great little machine

    5/5
I have always been a fan of Nespresso. I love coffee and enjoy several cups a day. I have the smaller version. So was happy to try the vertuo version. The coffee size is perfect and the selection of flavors is great. It is the same quality as if i had roasted and ground my own beans. A smooth and perfect sip every time. It took a matter of minutes to set up and the instruction guide was very easy to follow. There is an option to connect the machine to the nespresso app. Which was very straight forward to do. It is nice to know that my machine is running okay and if there was a fault it would flag on the app and help fix the issue. It can take around 1 minute for the coffee to pour, though that does depends on the drink size. (espresso, double espresso, longo) My only issue is that the if the drip tray is attached then a normal size coup wouldnt fit under it. Even the nespresso cups which i received are still too big. But that is a minor issue.

    Coffee in a touch

    4/5
I’ll be honest the machine wasn’t what I expected, as a latte lover I expect to be putting in a pod and getting a latte, this is more advance than that! The machine does coffee and then you add your own milk, I’m in the process of getting a frother which will make these even better I’m sure. The coffees taste great. So many choices and sizes (we use the double espresso to make a latte). Easy to make in one touch and lovely compact design. The drip tray doesn’t fit under a regular cup but can easily be slid under after you’ve made your coffee. All in all I would definitely recommend! I’ve not put the kettle on since I’ve had it and don’t plan to any time soon!

Easy to use and great tasting coffee!

    5/5
As someone who enjoys drinking coffee but has only ever had lower end machines it was exciting to upgrade to a Nespresso as obviously the brand has a great reputation. Taste and variety wise the machine is great, yes as noted by others you can’t get any third party capsules so the min price you’ll be paying is around 50-60p a capsule which is very reasonable in my opinion. There’s a good variety online though it’s a shame there aren’t any hot chocolate capsules for those with a sweeter tooth. I like that they include a pod recycling service and ordering new capsules is very quick and painless. The machine is also much quieter than others I’ve used which is a bonus. Overall I would give it a 9/10. The two areas of improvement I’d like to see are a revised drip tray that allows various size mugs (you have to remove it to use the machine with standard size coffee mugs) and an introduction of hot choc pods (though I understand that it’s primarily a coffee machine). If you want an easy, affordable way to make great tasting coffees then look no further!

Nifty Little Minimalistic Machine for Great Coffee

    4/5
As someone completely new to coffee machines this has been a brilliant upgrade especially considering the size and price point. I was previously a 'once in the morning' instant coffee (albeit with premium brands) drinker and this changed my habits due to how great the coffee is and how easy it is to use, with myself often tempted to have a decaff later in the day for that great taste without the caffeine kick. With the Aeroccino3 milk frother you also have an expanded number of drink options to choose from, I started off with reversos and mug drunks and am now making lattes and cappuccinos, sometimes with added flavoured syrups or even chocolate as a treat. Friends who've come over have been really impressed by the quality of coffee and are now considering getting their own or for Xmas gifts. Similarly, some others have responded to my Insta stories stating how delicious the coffee looks as well as the cool design of the machine. The Welcome pack of capsules is pretty good and has enough variety to let you decide what you prefer. It's also fairly easy to order more from the website with free next-day delivery if you spend a certain amount. The capsules themselves are made of aluminium and are fully recyclable, though I haven't used up enough to send back so can't comment any further, but it's great that waste is minimal. As great as the Pop is, there are some issues. The temp of the coffee coming out could be a lot hotter, even with the Aeroccino3 heated milk my drinks are just warm, not hot. In addition, although it is easy to use, the feedback/troubleshooting could be a lot better. The first time i tried to use the machine it dribbled a tiny amount of coffee with some residue floating in it. After some fiddling I realised it was because the water tank didn't have a full connection with the machine and needed to pressed with some more force. I would expect the machine to give an error and prevent use until the tank was properly connected, not to proceed with making coffee badly. The machine feedback is general is poor with just the button lighting up to indicate any issues, there is an accompanying app but that has it's own issues (e.g. for me it always shows my Pop as being locked position regardless of what position it's actually in). Lastly, the Vertuo barcode capsule tech is patented so there are no providers other than Nespresso, thus they can charge you whatever they like for your coffee. In summary, great look and design, and incredible coffee.
