    small but versatile

    5/5
The Russell Hobbs mini kitchen is a great compact, attractive, space saving appliance. The size of a microwave it can defrost, roast, boil, bake and grill. The oven heats up quickly and heats consistently, so there are no cold/ hot spots which can spoil your cooking or baking. The oven is large enough to bake a cake and can hold a tray and grill tray comfortably. The top half of the oven can be used for grilling, toasting and browning, the bottom for baking and roasting or the whole oven can be used to bake/roast. The hot plates do the job. The timer and heat controls are controlled by knobs which is great for people who have problems with their hands as they are easy to turn. The pictures on the control knobs are very clear which is great for people who have problems with eyesight. It is easy to clean, just wipe down with soapy water. The only downside is that the hot plates cannot be used at the same time as the oven.

    Multi-function, multi use.

    4/5
There are many scenarios in which the Russell Hobbs Mini Kitchen could be put to use. For me, most of my kitchen frustrations surface around my oven - be it lack of shelf space or struggling to cook multiple items at the same time when they all require different cooking temperatures. I look on with jealousy when I see other people with double ovens - something I cannot implement without a major remodel of my kitchen. So for me, I see the Russell Hobbs Mini Kitchen as a useful additional device to supplement my main oven, provide additional capacity for cooking larger meals and allowing me to have different food cooking at different temperatures at the same time. Others will see the Russell Hobbs Mini Kitchen as a useful main device in a Student flat, apartment or in a staff room or staff canteen. However you choose to use it, the Russell Hobbs Mini Kitchen has plenty to offer. It has 2 hot plates on the top - of different sizes and power outputs providing great versatility depending on what you want to cook. The oven/grill is equally versatile with options for using as an oven, grilling, warming and defrosting. The one drawback if you are using the Russell Hobbs Mini Kitchen as a main device is that you cannot utilise both the hot plates and the oven/grill at the same time. This is not such a barrier if you are using it as an additional oven in your kitchen, but as a main device it means you will have to be more selective when choosing the meals you want to cook. Size matters when you have to allocate valuable worktop real estate. Surprisingly, while the Russell Hobbs Mini Kitchen is a little deeper and a little taller than a conventional microwave, it's length is very similar meaning it won't take up much additional space if you decide an extra oven is more beneficial to you than your microwave. The Russell Hobbs Mini Kitchen is easy to set up, quick to heat up, quiet in operation and most importantly delivers great results making it a great addition to any kitchen. The black and silver design is also modern and stylish meaning it won't look out of place even in the trendiest of kitchens. So in summary, if you are looking to cure your oven frustrations or to gain additional cooking capacity in your kitchen, you won't go wrong with the very versatile Russell Hobbs Mini Kitchen with it's boiling, frying, grilling, baking, heating and defrosting functionality. If you're looking to use it as a main device - have a think about what you want to cook. If you need to use the hotplate and the oven at the same time - you might need to do a bit more research. If not, then the Russell Hobbs Mini Kitchen definitely has plenty to offer.

    Superb mini oven

    5/5
I'm nicely surprised by the quality of this mini kitchen. Its easy to use, despite some reviews I read on other sites, its also very spacious inside, I can easily fit a pizza in, which was something I was worried about, I've cooked about everything you can cook in a regular oven in this. It heats up very quickly, and cooks evenly and consistently. And is nice and quiet, unlike the halogen oven I replaced with this. I don't use a main oven as there's only me and my other half, so this suits my needs perfectly. The hobs on top also heat up very quickly, I've used stand alone rings before, and they can sometimes be a bit underpowered to boil a large saucepan of water, or a large frying pan, but this does it with ease. I would definitely recommend this oven for anyone!

    so far so good

    4/5
My second mini oven, I found my first so useful. After two weeks use I am pleased. Saves using big cooker, such a waste for only one and takes more effort in bending and stretching and lifting. Looks good and all I have cooked so far has been successfull. I am not likely to use the hobs as it would need more stretching to reach top. I did not consider them when choosing, they were just an optional extra. Anyone else using it on my behalf may well make use of them Price is reasonable for what is given.
