Excellent kettle design with useful water level indicators both inside and outside to save you from wasting energy boiling too much water. Brilliant!

Good kettle, not as quick or quiet as I would have liked but I'm probably asking for too much, it is really good and has measures inside the kettle for cups which is a really nice feature

I would echo what a previous consumer commented – the kettle was faulty within a month of usage. It was cut off before it was boiled, also with steam coming out from the switch. It was advertised as a quiet boil kettle, but it was only quiet for the first couple of use. Shame, as it’s a nice looking kettle. Ao.com was very helpful. Although it took a while for my call to be answered, but Amy was so sweet and helpful, and managed to get a kettle out to me the following day – most importantly, I have a working kettle for Christmas!

The kettle is a replacement for one we have had for quite a few years. We were attracted to make the purchase because of the claims that it is a lot quieter and fast boiling which it certainly is. It was also cheaper than the previous one. The kettle is a cool looking item and is modern in design. The only slight issue is that the kettle isn't a solid fit on the base but tends to just sit on the central electrical plug so it can rock around when touched. I have concluded that it helps with the noise reduction but not sure. All in all happy with the purchase and would buy it again.

Originally it was great, but went faulty after a week or so, cutting off well before it boiled. AO were very good but don't bother going to the manufacturer as the AO site says, they don't want to know. Spoke to a very helpful lady at AO but sadly there were no more in stock. I ended up with a different brand which isn't so good despite costing more. I really liked the Russel Hobbs. The flip-top lid is useful and the level indicators inside are a nice idea. I liked the blue light when it's on and the side window. I particularly liked the way the spout controls the water flow, it's very predictable. I found the quiet boil only works for the first couple of boils, after that it's almost as noisy as any other kettle, seems to be very sensitive to scale. I won't be descaling it every month as the instructions suggest. Overall though, I preferred it to the Breville I ended up with. Pity it broke...
