bought sept 2020 / failed jan 2022 / replacement sent / failed again now Nov 2023. Poor quality

Faulty when recieved thermostat wouldnt turn heat off so oven just kept geeting hotter.

Beware of buying one of these hobs - they are poor quality with cheap knobs, the temperature is not accurate and they are ridiculously fragile for the purpose they are intended for and are easy to crack. We dropped a small salt grinder on ours after 4 months, it cracked the hob - which means it is unusable unless you want to risk electrocution - and even stopped the lower oven working! The cost to repair is basically the same as the cost of the product and AO have no interest in replacing the product with one that is durable enough to withstand the standard things you'd expect to happen in a kitchen despite the fact they have not made clear that the product is too fragile to be satisfactory as a cooker beyond more than a few months. They seem to think it is fine for a £500 product when a grinder that weighs grams is dropped in a kitchen and have such low expectations of the products they sell that they think it is fine that this grinder that weights grams also broke the oven - 30 cm beneath the hob. This is all so satisfactory by their standards that they don't even want to investigate in any way. It took 5 attempts to get them to respond to any of the issues we raised about the quality of the product and the fact the fragility is not mentioned anywhere and they offered £30 for a purchase that cost over £500. Read the other reviews about scratching, boiling over liquids etc. Bad product. Bad company. Avoid.

Absolute rubbish lasted two years before fan stopped working causing element to blow, this has been replaced twice but has caused a third element to go, ao refused to help resolve issue, will never deal with them again and I advise anyone else thinking of buying through this company to think again, as we are now left with expense of replacing after such a short time, item was never fit for purpose.

To be honest it’s taken us a while to get used to our new oven. I was cooking a roast on the 3rd day and the oven door came off in my hands. Thank goodness my husband was at home to fix the door. It’s definitely cheap for a reason!

I have had an absolute nightmare with this oven. Starting within a month of purchase. I should have asked for a replacement then. Finally a year and 3 elements later and being without my oven for 86 days in total the company are replacing my oven tomorrow.

6 days old and one of the knobs broke. Amica customer service has been diabolical and we have now owned the cooker for over 4 weeks and unable to use the oven, with no replacement knob as promised, and now chased 3 times. Don’t buy - the knobs are plastic and will break. We are not heavy handed, or the type of people that don’t look after things, it’s just poor design and poor quality. Seriously, buy a different cooker.

The edges of the metal round the back are not smoothed it literally cut my fingers skin and cut through left my hand bleeding. Otherwise the product isn’t that and it does what it’s supposed to but when installing it, it more than what it’s supposed to like sharp metal edges
