    Good and bad

    4/5
The oven is quick to warm up, and looks nice with a good clear view of what is going on, but there are annoying issues: 1) The timer alarm is far too quiet on the loudest setting and cannot be heard above an extractor fan in the adjacent room 2) The selector dial is too slow to respond then jumps too fast to other selections when you think it hasn't responded, meaning you go back and forward until you manage to get the tiny red dash on the appropriate text on the display 3) I haven't found where to keep the oven on after it has reached temperature 4) Why can't you change the default temperature for the fan over.. it always defaults to 150

    Some many possibilities

    5/5
I think I will need months to test all the functions this oven has. So far the ones I have tested are really good. I tried baking for my kids and the cakes were cooked perfectly. As a family of 4, we need enough space in our oven to put different things as our roasted chicken and potatoes gratin for our Sunday family lunch. We can cook 2 pizzas at the same time to avoid family fight and the cooking was perfect. We tested steam cooking with green beans and it was great so we need to try with other vegetables.I can''t wait to test a slow long cook meal.

    Amazing oven with advanced features

    5/5
The AEG 7000 Steamcrisp is a high performance oven. It has advanced features and my favourite is the pyrolitic self cleaning. It just takes all the mess out of oven cleaning. All you have to do is enable the self cleaning mode, remove all the accessories and wipe after it's cooled down. Very simple and easy. Steamcrisp function is great, makes for much tastier meat and love the built in meat thermometer for cooking things perfectly. Very pleased with the oven overall and despite the high price tag I still think it's a good value product.

    So many possibilities

    5/5
This oven is great, so many possibilities. Well cooked pizzas, crisp pastries. Enough place inside to cook different things at the same time as it's really useful for a family of 4. The app is also great to follow timer when you are not in the kitchen and also to launch the cook if you are not home when you are on your way back. You don't have to wait too long to reach the temperature you need to cook your preparation. I made already some pastries and madeleines for breakfast and it was a success. I will need months to test all the options and it will also help me to give me ideas for our next meals.

    Excellent quality oven

    5/5
The AEG 7000 series oven is a very impressive oven made to a very high quality. Unfortunately I''m having some installation issues due to a gas pipe for the cooker running behind the oven stopping it fitting in securely, so waiting for a plumber to resolve and it''s now back in the packaging.I did however get a chance to operate it briefly and loved the controls and ease of use. The oven obviously has some brilliant functions which is how you justify the price tag. The pyrolytic self cleaning being the most important one for me as I really hate the job of cleaning the oven. I haven''t been able to test it but have seen enough videos online that give me confidence the function is as good as they claim. There''s also the built in meat thermometer which is a present from me to my wife. She is obsessed with checking the meat temperature while cooking and this makes the process so much easier. Set the temperature and the oven will let you know once the meat reaches the desired temperature.Overall can''t wait to get it up and running fully, quality is good, well packaged in transit and arrived immaculate. Trays and accessories included.

    Amazing oven

    5/5
First impressions, the oven seemed bigger than the one we had before, however it fits perfectly in the same space. I think the space has been engineered in a very clever way, making it more spacious inside. At first sight the oven looks super sleek and smart, however as much as I love the look, this also means that hand prints are very visible, especially if you have young children around! The oven connects through WiFi to My AEG Kitchen app (Apple and Android), however this took us quite a while, it wasn’t straight forward and maybe a bit buggy. I don’t find the app particularly exciting, you can chose the different programs from the Assisted cooking menu, as well as monitor the core temperature of your dish, if using the food sensor. Nothing that you won’t be able to do easily manually, except maybe using your voice with google assistant. The app also has some interesting recipes with instructions to cook them in the oven and it promises “new features and updates” constantly being added. So far we made pizza using the “Pizza Function” and sourdough bread using “dough proving” and the “bread making” programs. The oven reaches high temperature very very fast. Pizza came out with a very crispy bottom that we were never able to achieve before. But the toppings also came out a little bit overcooked for our taste. The only criticism I have is that you cannot pause the timer once you start the program. For the "Bread Cooking” function we had to fill the little tank of water as the oven will release a constant steam to allow for the bread to cook perfectly inside and have a crispy crust. The oven takes into account the hardness of your water (something you can set up at the beginning, and you can also change afterwards if for example you buy a water softener). The bread came out delicious, incredibly soft inside, but thoroughly cooked, and with a nice crispy crust outside.Something that with sourdough is very hard to obtain. The only criticism I have is that theres no way to see how much water is left in the tank, or how much you really need to top up for the next program. There are a tons of programs and settings, I think if you want to make the most of this oven you really need to take some time to read though the user manual and try the features for yourself. The oven came with a “Cooking hints” booklet, other than the Instruction manual, which I found really handy to help me navigate through the all functions.
