I bought this item in 2020 because I believed SMEG to be a good manufacturer with good customer service. Before the 2 years was up they had to visit to replace a fault with the oven. Now out of warranty by 6 months the induction hob has failed. An engineer (not SMEG because they would not come) has advised the faulty oven door has caused steam to erode the pcb and induction generators BUT this is not a manufacturers problem apparently as it is outside of warranty. I expect a range cooker to last 10 years not 2.5 years particularly at this price. Be Warned All. FYI...AO are trying to help me resolve this but SMEG should have stood up and done their customer service and they have failed big time.

This is our first experience of an induction hob, having used gas for decades. We knew we would not be able to use our aluminium pans, but be bought an additional Paderno diffuser which works well. We did not realise that the hob on this cooker works in pulses at low temperatures, which means that you can't simmer smoothly and constantly (it bubbles and then stops every few seconds). Not a big deal, but would have been good to know. The only other issue is that the instructions for the main oven in the manual are incorrect, which made us think that it was not working properly. This was quickly explained when we phoned customer support. Basically the light flashes until the correct temperature is reached and then goes on constant. On the small oven it is on constant until it reaches temperature and then goes off. A bit confusing to have different systems on the same cooker, especially when the manual is incorrect. Again, not a big deal, and all fine now that we know about it. All in all, very happy!

Not very impressed so far with the oven. The instruction manual is really vague and I have absolutely no idea how to use it to it's full potential. I was not asked about the fuse I had and there are 2 differing opinions of which fuse is required. There is a 'rope' type thing going round the inside the cooker door which looks like it will last a few weeks only. The cooker appeared to lose power during a long cooking time on Christmas day, my sister had the same problem with the same oven. Very disappointed

It's awful. Please don't buy it. The build quality is shocking - everything feels flimsy and loose fitting. The glass in one of the doors has fallen apart after a week of use. Not looking forward to spending hours on the phone to Smeg's notoriously awful customer service. Ignore the other reviews. This a shoddily made item and I bitterly regret buying it.

I love the look and function of this appliance. It heats up in a flash, I’m used to a gas cooker but finding the transition to induction really easy. Much easier to clean than a gas hob. My only criticism is that it only comes with one shelf for each of the ovens and I’m struggling to find extras that are the right size.

What a terrible product. We have had this oven replaced 3 times, the third oven delivered today, also does not work. The bigger sized oven heats up, reaches temperature, then starts bleeping like mad, and then the door goes into lock mode. The door will only release once it is switched off at the mains. This is the third model with the same problem. Cannot be coincidence!!! We have now been without a working oven for 6 weeks. I would strongly advise against buying this product.

What a great Range Cooker at an exceptionally reasonable price when compared to equivalent, similar spec, models. The Induction Hob takes a bit of getting used to, it heats the pans very quickly and then a bit of trial and error to find a good setting to keep things on simmer. Nice to have Pyrolitic Cleaning in the main oven, yet to see if it works as anticipated. Only negative experienced so far is there is no lip around the hob to prevent pans sliding right off the cooker when spooning out content of pans and this means both hands are required. This cooker replaced a 20 year old Range Cooker (different make) that was no longer fully functioning and because of the SMEG's rear upstand, which has to be installed, the splashback and extractor hood all had to be moved up by approx 2 inches. This created issues as the Hood's wall penetration left no flexibility for this increase in height and could only be resolved by cutting back the 6" elbow and hood connector pieces beyond their design intent.

This cooker is fantastic, well worth the saving compared to a rangemaster! Will never go back to a standard hob.
