I needed a new cooker and after months of reading reviews and checking in stores I eventually chose the smeg. After only a week i can honestly say it was the right choice it not only looks good it works well. The one minus is the size of the second oven none of my trays fitted it as it is a lot smaller than my last cooker but this is understandable as the main oven is so much larger than my last cooker and a trip to a store for replacement trays solved this minor problem . Very stylish looking, just getting use to the different cooking functions but so far the food has been cooked to perfection! Just about the only problem is you don’t get a grill mesh included for the large oven grill pan you have to order it as an extra costing £21 which I found out after ringing helpline and being on hold for nearly 40 mins!

The range fits very snugly in the 90cm gap and was very well leveled with the bench. It looks very smart and has more features than I was expecting including self cleaning. The oven is evenly heated and it does the job nicely. It is a bit noisy warming down and does seem to take an age. Comes with two trays in the main oven, advertised as having one.

I cannot fault this particular range cooker at all. I previously been told that SMEG is style over substance which has, truth be told, put me off when purchasing other items for the kitchen. However, this time around I just happened to find this range cooker with the exact specifications we wanted as part of the Black Friday deals and with installation (and recycling) I couldn’t find any reason to be put off. I am so glad that I took the plunge. Between me and my wife we have really worked our new cooker. Perfect cakes and baked. Yummy roasts cooked amazingly (and done so much easier due to the double cavities). Christmas dinner this year was a breeze (and when is cooking for 10). So far the only thing we haven’t used is the grill in the second (smaller) cavity. I’m not worried though as I’m sure it’ll do as good a job as the rest of the functions (we have used the fan assisted grill in the main cavity). It also comes with a surprising number of accessories which I wasn’t expecting. As such, I haven’t had to worry about buying baking trays to fit - they’re included. I’ve rated this review purely on its functionality - after all, it’s what you buy a cooker for. However, as a side note; it looks lovely too. The style you expect from SMEG is there for all to see. So, all in all, it deserves 5 stars - no question about it. Thank you AO.

Ordering with AO was easy with flexible delivery and helpful delivery drivers. This process was pretty faultless (I haven’t had to raise any issues with AO so can’t comment on customer service after deliver, but prior to that was good). I was pleased with the cost of the product for its features (espcially as AO gave a promotional discount) and am pleased with the look of it. I’ve not had much chance to actually use it yet, however, seems well built with lots of features. The only downside so far is the sheer amount of packaging( of course you need some to protect in transit, but there was so much of it which smeg gave some waffle about being “compatible with the environment” whatever that means in terms of it being recyclable!

I have spent ages trying to find the right cooker and this one seems like it fits the bill. Really nice looking oven with the all important self cleaning function which you don't normally get at this price range.
