great, when you've bought the extras

Be aware! this only comes with one oven shelf, one grill tray (with no grill in it) and a grill tray/shelf for the small oven, so for more, you'll need to buy separately. I only knew this in hindsight by looking at reviews. Otherwise, great cooker and great delivery/installation!

    Great looking oven, perfect dimensions!

Nice oven, looks great. Heats up much quicker than my old oven. Dimensions of the main and smaller cavity are very generous. The cooking programmes have a good range, also not essential to have a timer/time limit on the oven activity which is great for slow cooking. Hob seems spacious and is easy to clean. My only criticism is the way the main grill turned off when I had opened to door to turn items, so had to reset the grill to heat up again manually and there is only 1 grill tray and and 1 rack for each compartment, it could do with an extra rack to make the most of the space. Only had the oven 1 week so probably just a case of getting used to it.

Not as good as the Germans.

Just had the oven replaced after having the engineer out 6 times. Can’t say I recommend the oven we’ve just chucked back but the new one seems like a facelift model, subtle differences. Let’s hope this new one is better. AO have been brilliant, liaising with Smeg on our behalf. And realised that a 7th visit from Smeg wouldn’t be accepted even though they wanted to. Then AO replaced the oven. Bosch oven brought in the last house still going strong 7 years later so would I buy Smeg again? No. German all the way. Full marks to AO, 0 marks to Smeg so, overall, 3 stars

    Generally very good

This was an emergency replacement of my old Fisher Paykel range cooker whose fan oven effectively burst into flames and turned out not to be economically repairable. The equivalent model now costs nearly three times what I paid 12 years ago! This is a very similar shape/size with very similar features. The oven heats up quickly and I like the way it tells you when it's reached the heat you set. It looks very stylish too. I give it four out of five stars for three reasons: the instruction book is a vast tome with five or six different languages. No user is going to need all the different languages, and a small easily stored single language booklet would be far preferable. Secondly, there doesn't appear to be a roasting rack supplied with the tray, which I find odd. I'd have thought that was standard issue. And the knobs on the front are very easily knocked when you reach over it, so that I spent the first week with the oven turning itself on randomly. I haven't used the pyrolytic function yet, but I hope this will be a boon. Neither have I tried the grill, and the timer function needs you to have the tome to hand to figure it out! But all in all I'm pleased with my purchase, and sincerely hope that it will last longer than 12 years (and be repairable when it does break down!)

Had it 2 years now - would not recommend

Should be a nice oven but now the warranty has expired I can give a better review: oven glass shattered on first pyrolytic clean - fixed under warranty. when using both ovens the circuit breaker is tripped. This has not been corrected despite 2 call outs and its out of warranty now. Day to day its also a pain to clean. Definitely would not purchase smeg again.
