Don't buy this Candy tumble drier if you want dry bedding

    1/5
Awful product - i'd suggest avoiding this and any of the related re-brands of the same appliance. Bedding gets tied up in ultra tight knots and after 3 hours comes out soaking in the middle. Apparently is an energy saving feature with the drum only going in one direction - the irony with having to run the duvet cover and sheet separately to actually dry them. Tried to return - it's not fit for purpose. 2 hour call and spoke to AO and manufacturer rep - advised that you must use tumble drier balls. Bought 8 large balls at a cost of £15 (wool that get good reviews) and sheets still tied up in knots, bought another 8 on advise that i'd probably need 12 in the drum - so stuck them all in and with 16 the sheets still knotted and not dry. Our old (15 years!) AEG never ever did this and only replaced as started eating drive belts. Have tried yet again to return - AO don't answer their phones and respond to web requests with SMS messages to say they tried to contact when they did no such thing. AO used to be great to deal with in the early days - i presume scale of operation changes means their service is not what it was. Hope this helps anyone considering this product - i thought i'd done my homework but sadly now. Also be aware that the model info you get from the Candy site is different to this model and is misleading especially if you are looking for an easy to empty water reservoir - this one has it located in the base under a cover that will eventually break whereas the one on the Candy site shows it being integral with the door.

    Extremely poor product - avoid.

Rubbish condensing tumble dryer. Bought to replace a Beko condensing tumbler, which (until it died after 9 years) worked effectively in our utility room. This Candy replacement tumbler seems not to work unless all the doors and windows are open - the condenser is ineffective. All the advice proffered has been followed and yet still it struggles to dry clothes effectively, and pumps out condensation into the house. I'm really, really annoyed that I've spent hundreds of hard earned pounds on a "Best Buy" product and it's not fit for purpose. ??????

    Bit too complicated

Lots of programmes but very few instructions on what they all do. Bedding very creased. Door handle very very hot after use.

Candy Wi-Fi Connected 9KG Condenser Tumble Dryer

    3/5
The Candy Wi-Fi Connected 9KG Condenser Tumble Dryer looks great but there are one or two design flaws. The first and major one of these is that the water collector is at the bottom of the device. So to empty it I have to get on my hands and knees to remove the plastic container. This is not ideal as I have osteoarthritis. The second issue and this is not a serious, is the settings. It’s wonderful that I can turn on my tumble dryer from anywhere in the house using the app on my phone. However, the settings are bizarre . For example, there is a setting for bathrobes but not for towels. There are all sorts of weird and wonderful settings but there isn’t one for underwear. The drum capacity is nice and large and it is definitely more energy efficient than my old machine.

    Could be better

Prefer the ones where you set the timer on a dial. This has a load of different programmes but my clothes are always still damp at the end of the cycle. It doesn't turn off completely when cycle finishes so when at work it's using more electricity and I have tried the app but that's rubbish as it constantly disconnects and the only way you can reconnect is on the dryer itself.
