We've always had gas ovens but I found that nowadays there isn't much choice, either of brand or features. So not without some trepidation, we've bought this electric oven. It seems very solidly built and has lots of features I like. I wanted catalytic oven linings and a fan oven, so this ticks the boxes. I like the pop-out control knobs, although as others have commented, putting the symbols on the edge of the knobs rather than on the oven, is ridiculous. I can live with it though. We've only had the oven a week but so far it is performing beautifully, with evenly baked bread, pies and crackers. I love having a light in the top oven as well, which my previous model didn't have. There are a couple of niggles, in addition to the control knobs: I'm not fond of the recessed oven shelves. They may well stop things slipping off them (not a problem I've ever encountered with an oven) but they make it trickier to get things out when hot. The other niggle is the instruction book, which is not very informative and seems to take a level of knowledge for granted. Overall though I am very pleased with the oven and I would recommend it.
