    Never again Hisense

    1/5
Bought in September 2023 and registered for two year warranty. The heat pump appears to have leaked and left a thick blocking deposit on the filter. Contacted Hisense and sent copies of invoice, warranty, serial number and picture of filter. Over a month later and no response from Hisense. We also purchased Hisense washer, fridge freezer and TV. What a mistake.

    Broke down in second week!!!

    1/5
The door catch broke in the second week. It is a nightmare to get anyone from Hisense to respond. We have uploaded videos, hung on the phone and sent documents and still no one come out to look at it two weeks later. Awful service . Buyer beware!!!

Hisense DH5S102BW Heat Pump Tumble Dryer - Not Recommended

    1/5
My 18 year old dryer was going "Thud! Thud! Thud!" every time the drum rotated, so I reckoned it was time for a new dryer. Accordingly, I purchased a Hisense DH5S102BW Heat Pump Tumble Dryer. When I ran my brand new Hisense dryer, it went "Tick! Tick! Tick!" every time the drum rotated. The improvement was not enormous. The Hisense did dry clothing adequately but the constant noise while operating was quite irritating. I found the controls to problematic. One has to hold down the touch sensitive buttons for several seconds before the dryer activates but it was difficult to tell when the buttons had been held down long enough to start the dryer. The Hisense gives one no sound cues to indicate when it is starting or finishing a drying cycle. I complained to AO.com about the Hisense dryer and they sent out a technician to examine it. The technician determined that the loud ticking noise was a manufacturing fault and AO.com accepted a return of the dryer and gave me a full credit of the cost towards the purchase of another dryer. A full refund was also available to me. Subsequently, I purchased another dryer from AO.com and am more than happy with the second machine and have reviewed it separately. Another thing I did not like about the Hisense dryer is that when I put a wet bed sheet into the machine it rolls it into a ball. Thus, the outside of the balled up sheet dries while the inside part of the balled up sheet stays damp. To be fair, every tumble dryer I have used in the UK seems to do this. I have never noticed this phenomenon with clothes dryers I have used in other countries and I have spent time living in Canada, Australia and Japan and using domestic clothes dryers in all of those countries. In my experience, this seems to be a common issue with UK clothes dryers and I don’t know why this would be. If you are considering purchasing this Hisense dryer, note well that this is a large, 10 kg machine. When in place in my kitchen it protruded about 15cm from the edge of my counter. This is not a fault in the machine of course, just something a buyer should keep in mind. So I was very dissatisfied with the Hisense DH5S102BW Heat Pump Tumble Dryer. The manufacturing fault would have been obvious to their quality control people as soon as the dryer was started up to test it and it should have never left the factory. One star out of five, only because that is the lowest rating I can give it. Personally, I will never again purchase a Hisense product.

    Quiet but too complex

    3/5
Nice and quiet with aa large drum, but not intuitive to use at all. I preferred my old noisy tumble dryer where you could select full or half heat. The manual diesn't even tell you which settings are suitable for clothes that need half heat, or how to achieve it. Sometimes simplicity is all you need, not a hundred different options where things still come out damp.

Nice looking good quality machine, but frustrating

    3/5
If this machine had a manual setting where I could just tell it to run at the temp I want for as long or short as I want it would be perfect. However, it has a fee programs, some adjustable, most not and I''m getting very frustrated with it. It''s meant to have a sensor that tells when the washing is dry but it comes out damp. I know heat pumpmdryers don''t get as hot as other dryers but this doesn''t seem to get very warm at all. It''s a shame coz it''s a really nice machine and seems really good quality.Like the washer, it''s trying to be too clever. Just let me control my washing.

    Good drying results and connectivity

    4/5
So far so good, large capacity, easy to use and quick dry mode which our last Heat Pump Tumble dryer didn't have. 4 stars due to it being a bit too loud, similar to other models at this price, so maybe I'm asking for too much
