This fryer is absolutely huge. I’m not exaggerating so I would suggest you check the measurements first to make sure you have the counter space before you buy. That aside, I’m very happy with the fryer. It takes just shy of 4.5 litres of oil to reach the max level in the fryer. Everything does come apart so it’s easy to dismantle and clean when needed. Heating up doesn’t take long at all and it’s very quiet when in use. Chips came out perfectly and weren’t greasy. As for the oil draining, as soon as you’re done with it you can turn the wee dial to oil draining and the fryer will empty the oil once it is suitably cooled into the container underneath. To be honest I was sceptical of the draining feature before I used it but it does work and makes cleaning so much easier. Overall the unit is very well made and sturdy. I am happy with my purchase.

Excellent piece of equipment. Does the job of frying wonderfully, but the real magic is the oil recovery system. Vey easy to clean definitely would recommend. The internal reserved oil tank does have a clip on lid to be removed for cleaning when the oil eventually reaches the end of its life. Just make sure it is securely clipped on before pouring the oil when re-filling the fryer. I haven't had an issue but recognise it as a potential spillage risk.

I wish I had bought one years ago. It has taken out all the hard work of cleaning a fryer. Cooks great food even tastes better. Saved massively on the cost of oil.

This is great. Main thing for me is the ease of emptying the oil into the box, making it much easier and safer when you need to discard the old oil. Also filtering which keeps the oil clean. Highly recommend.

This is the best deep fat fryer I have ever invested in, so easy to clean and filter the oil , nice handy oil storage unit holds the clean oil until your ready to use it again. I definitely recommend this Tefal deep fryer giving it 5*
