This mschine does everything I want ... and more

    5/5
This machine does everything I want and more. I even spent 15 minutes this morning watching it on the Whites programme as it weighed the load and decided how much water was needed, the length of the wash cycle required, how much rinsing was required, decided the rythm of the drum rotation for the fabric (it was towels), and later would recognise the amount of soap suds in case it needed more rinsing and best of all (after my old machine) the spin speed so the load was balanced. I might watch a different programme tomorrow!!

A decent washing machine with a couple of minor annoyances

    3/5
We've had this for a couple of months now and it's generally pretty good; the spin is very quiet thanks to the brushless motor and it does a reasonable job of washing clothes. It does have a couple of irritating foibles though, specifically with the detergent drawer - the drawer doesn't come out very far, and we've installed the machine under a kitchen counter against a wall on the left hand side so it's tricky to pour washing powder in without spilling any. What's more annoying is that the powder doesn't always make it into the drum during a wash, and there's often a soggy lump of it left in the drawer afterwards. The iPhone app to control the machine is surprisingly handy, letting you adjust the settings of a wash very easily, save named presets, and schedule a delayed start/finish time (although weirdly this only works in half hour increments). When I was setting up the app it asked for a postcode and evidently it uses this location information to warn you if bad weather is expected whenever you put a wash on. At least that's the theory - I don't know where it gets its weather forecast from but it rarely reflects reality, and during the winter we tend to dry clothes inside on an airer anyway. I've searched through all the settings but I can't find any way to turn this warning off, or change the postcode should we ever move house. Overall I think this is a pretty good washing machine for the price, and the app could be improved over time.

    So far so good

Only had the machine a week but it's definitely ticking all the boxes. Only downfall was the installation. The delivery guys clearly didn't know what they were doing, snapped the shut off valve handle and put water all over the floor, then connected the machine incorrectly, left water leaking out the back so had to call out an emergency plumber as they didn't deliver until the evening. Plumber had said he's now dealing with these call outs 2 or 3 times a week, so it's a bit pot luck if you get someone who knows what they are doing.

    Long was cycle times

Great size for the 9kg capability but the wash times are much longer than I thought they would be. The machine is supposed to adjust times depending on the weight of the clothes but even on less than a half load it wasn’t under an hour. I’ve also found water remaining in the dispense tray that won’t clear.

    Fantastic machine.

So far it’s been fantastic. It’s loads quieter than my old machine, I also like the fact I can use an app to get so many more washing programs compared to just the ones on the dials. It’s been out to good use since it arrived with 4 children’s worth of washing. It’s also a lot more energy efficient than my old one and everything still comes out nice and clean.

The delivery and service from AO was great that’s about all that was good about this purchase. This is an awful washing machine. My previous washing machine was 10kg drum it makes this one look like an 8kg really struggle to get a double duvet in it. In addition the programmes either don’t work for the load or take forever. Just put on towels at 60 degree on eco more than 5.5 hours to finish. The only programme I tend to use is the 59 minute mixed wash otherwise you’ll never get more than one wash a day. I went for the black finish but it looks a bit cheap and plasticy. Spend a bit more and get a better machine

    Hoover washing machine

    3/5
I think the base had to be applied after delivery by myself which appeared to be thin cardboard type, the clip in plastics at the back after removal of screws 1 snapped on application Overall quality not that great as the metal on washing machine was to bit flimsy compared to other washing machines dented easily as there were 2 tiny dents on removal of packing. The instructions are okay and the machine appeared less noisy then my previous washing machines. Would I buy this product again the answer is definately NO

    Great value

    5/5
Loving the machine, I thought the Wi-fi remote control was a bit gimmicky at first but actually I really like the notifications that the cycle has finished. The machine is really quiet except for the door lock actuator makes a real clank when the cycle starts and finishes but for the money I’m very pleased with the value. I really didn’t like Hoover ringing me after I registered the manufacturer’s warranty to tell me if I don’t pay another £5 a month for their extended guarantee and accidental damage cover that they charge me £150 if a sock gets stuck in the drum, now I would say if your washing can get somewhere it shouldn’t be then the machine is not fit for purpose but that’s not been a problem so far.
