Replaced a cheaper model from a different manufacturer and could not believe the difference

Good extractor fan, looks very good in our kitchen and can cope well with extracting smells, even from a full fry up. The touch operation and blue lights are a nice touch.

This has been installed for over 18 months now. Bought to go over my 75cm gas hob. I really like the product. I'd advise to vent out if possible and make sure the vent is of sufficient size as this will affect the noise levels. We have a louvre vent cover and even on setting one you can see the amount of air it's expelling. Noise-wise, level 1 is ok and 2 is distracting if you are trying to listen to conversation while cooking but I think to get much better you'd have to invest in a system where the motor/fan is physically removed from the hood. I find the lights more than adequate and they've not yet needed replacing. Easy to clean and the grills are also easy to remove and clean. I'd recommend this product.

Excellent delivery and well packaged. Chose this because of a high excitation rate and to match my other Siemens’s appliances. Bought the house a few years back after a complete refit. All cheaper appliances have failed in less that 3 years. Buy cheap buy twice is certainly true in some cases. The Mrs is certainly impressed with the noticeable difference and lack of cooking smells and that’s just on setting two out of four. The LED lights are good and don’t create a shadow and it’s not too noisy either. Fitted myself which is easy if your fairly handy at DIY. Marked up the wall after the old unit removed with the instructions before this was delivered. On plasterboard walls I recommend finding the stud or using 10mm duofix wall plugs if the spacing is out. I have insulated plasterboard with brick behind so used 200mm concrete screws to securely fix. Can’t recommend going for a higher end brand such as Siemens. They make this extractor in different widths so worth checking around.
