I'm loving "The Beast"!
5/5
I wanted a large well-designed fridge-freezer and I got it!! Weve nicknamed it The Beast and it does take up a fair amount of space in the kitchen (dont forget to leave space for the doors to open wide) so be aware before buying. (We did also have to remove our front door to get the fridge into the kitchen but we do live in an old cottage so that may not be an issue for you!) It is also extremely heavy to the extent that the delivery team struggled. BUT it is an amazing piece of kit - with a vast open and easy access space for the fridge -even bottles can stand upright- and so much freezer space which you can actually organise and use. The middle My Choice drawer (which can either be a freezer or a fridge) is so useful and has already been switched as our food needs over Christmas changed. I would strongly recommend the "French-style" arrangement of 2 fridge doors on top and 2 freezer drawers below in preference to two very long doors where its impossible to see whats right down at floor level. An ice/water function wasnt a priority for us as there is no plumbing on that side of the kitchen so was really pleased that Hisense had this model which doesnt require plumbing (it has a refillable tank which does mean you sacrifice a small bit of fridge space). Getting a full glass of water takes a long time but the ice feature has been surprisingly popular. The brushed silver finish looks good but is only semi-fingerprint resistant. It is perfectly possible to open each door of the fridge independently but I am a bit paranoid about the flange/baffle thingy being damaged so I am preferring to open the right door before opening the left door - but Im probably being over-careful. The digital temperature controls are all very easy to use and adjust. I looked at all the more expensive brands but this felt like a sensible price point and so far I'm very happy.
