Only just had a few days to replace an old whirlpool akz446 and seems to be a good oven, but complicated to use initially. The grill tray has no handle so you either have to buy one or use without (most people use without these days so not much of an issue, just be wary it can get hot) You only get 1 wire shelf and have to buy another (currently £23), ideally should get two shelves (even my old whirlpool had two). You do get a drip tray and spit holder for roasting meats. Overall happy with the oven as fitted perfectly and can be plugged into a normal socket.

The product has developed significant faults less than 2 years after purchase: - digital display has come loose inside and rotates when I move the control button, looking skewed most of the time; - fan rattles loudly when using the fan function; - stainless steel finish is low quality and has developed rust on the over door. Also, the pyrolytic cleaning is not very effective at all. The 1 year manufacturers warranty has lapsed and Hotpoint and AO repair quotes are astronomical, costing almost as much as the oven itself. Very disappointing for a product endorsed by Jamie Oliver - will not be so easily swayed by the celebrity name next time and will definitely avoid Hotpoint.

Preheats quickly. Haven't tried all the features but the automatic meat joint function worked a treat and I'm normally not a fan of auto settings. Looks very modern. Excellent oven so far. Only negative (and this is across all new clever ovens) is it can be a little complicated if you are looking for a simple turn it on type of oven. Comes with a plug so you can simply plug it it.

The oven is fine, once you've figured out how it works! Our first use of it was to grill a simple cheese and ham toastie. After 45 minutes it created some stale bread so we reverted to our old toaster. Convinced it didn't work, we called for help and we were told an engineer would be with us in a couple of days. Despite being a Hotpoint engineer, he didn't know how it worked and read through our instructions and arrived at the same conclusion as we did - it didn't work. He called their tech. dept., but no reply. After further messing around he discovered the grill would work, but only with the oven door closed which meant you couldn't see how the food was grilling. He like me, agreed that it was a daft idea to try to grill toast blind, so left and promised to call me when he found out if that was working properly of not. He called later that afternoon to tell me all was well and the grill only worked with the door closed. It's a daft idea, but if only the instructions were better and such simple things were explained? Bottom line? The oven's okay but the instructions are rubbish!

The oven warms up quickly and over a range of different functions (although we just use the tandard fan assisted function). ONly real downside is the oven only comes with one wire tray (old oven came with 2)
