Worst appliance I've ever owned! I've had this oven for 3 years now and it has had 4 significant breakdowns over the last 18 months. It seemed to work well over the first year but has needed many components replacing as they've failed despite only being used for normal domestic purposes. In the last breakdown it caused the fuse board to trip when the bottom element disintegrated and fell into the oven frame, creating a short. I can understand why it has so many positive reviews - for the initial months we were very happy with it too but the number of faults it has suffered is totally unacceptable. We are now in a position of having to pay to replace an oven which is just 3 years old. I regret purchasing this item.

Easy to install but be aware two people needed as it is quite heavy. Very good that it only needs a 13 amp plug and that it cleans itself. The temperature inside the oven is uniform and it cooks the top and bottom evenly. Grill is surprisingly good. Better than the gas oven it replaced. Very quiet with fan on. Not used all the functions yet and probably never will. Like most appliances these days there are lots of functions but to be honest most of the time just a couple of them get used on an everyday basis. Very pleased so far. Looks good too, nice uncluttered front.

This is a very good oven, however I am still working out how to use all of the functions on it. Only downside so far is you can't just 'switch it on'. You need to press the power button on, choose the function, press ok, choose the temperature then press the ok button. Once the oven warms up a faint alarm goes off and then you need to press the 'play 'button. All a lot of faffing around. Also, the grill will only work with the oven door closed meaning you cannot just glance into the oven when grilling something

What a difference to my previous oven which at the time I thought was good after getting the Hotpoint S14854PIX I realised how the quality was so much superior to my last one it looks so smart and neat and it's clean lines make it look quite a feature piece in my kitchen it's performance is second to none no more burnt or dried up food only tasty perfectly cooked food a big bonus is the self cleaning which means I always have a sparkling clean oven the instruction manual is very easy and clear to follow I would recommend this product 100 percent Thankyou Hotpoint

The oven has a lot of features which takes time to understand but once mastered cooks really well and evenly. It comes with 1 wire rack, grill pan, drip pan and a spit roast! It was easy to install and as all my Hotpoint ovens have been very reliable. I would highly recommend it.

Looking nice and very easy to use. Did not had a chance to try all settings yet, but so far so good.
