    Everything you need to know about how we deliver our computing and tech products.

    Coronavirus (COVID-19): a note to our customers

    We’re doing the best we can during these extraordinary times, but the safety of our drivers and customers is our priority.

    • Temporarily, all deliveries will now be made to the main entrance of your home.
    • If you have a shared entrance – if you live in an apartment block, for example – this means we’ll bring it to your apartment, not just the front entrance of the building.
    • We can only deliver to the room of your choice if you’ve added installation to your order.
    • Unless you’ve ordered installation, we also can’t unpack your appliance during this time

    We’ve made sure that our drivers can comply with social distancing guidelines while completing deliveries by knocking on the customers’ door and waiting at least two metres away. Drivers have been given gloves and facemasks and are encouraged to wear them – if your driver isn’t then please feel free to ask them to wear them. We are also asking customers to wait in another room while we deliver.

    If you need to amend your order, you can do this through My Account. You can also find out when your delivery is due, and change the delivery date if you need to, using our Track Your Order page.

    Who will be delivering my order?

    You can easily find out who will be delivering your order at the checkout.

    • If you’re asked to pick your delivery day from a calendar, then your order is coming straight from us at AO.
    • If you don’t see a calendar but are given some delivery options to pick from, then DPD will be the ones arriving at your door.

    Not heard of DPD? Here’s everything you need to know:

    • They deliver 7 days a week
    • Free delivery is always an option, so you can get your order within 3 working days at no extra cost.
    • Want it faster than that? Pay a little extra for next day delivery and you can have it tomorrow.
    • DPD deliver at the weekend.

    Tell me more about AO delivery

    Here’s everything you need to know about our delivery to mainland UK:

    • You can choose a day that suits you from several free delivery options.
    • Next day delivery will have your tech with you tomorrow. Just enter your postcode at the checkout to see if it’s available.
    • We deliver from 7am ‘til 7pm, so use Track Your Order to see how far off we are.
    • We even deliver at the weekend.

    Delivery to Northern Ireland and remote areas

    Along with DPD, we try and deliver to as many homes as possible, but there are a few places we just can’t get to.

    • For £20, we can deliver to Northern Ireland, but you won’t be able to pick a delivery date online. We’ll text or ring you with the date we’ll be delivering your parcel to our courier. They’ll then get in touch with you to let you know when they’ll be delivering.
    • Delivery promotions like next day delivery aren’t available for Northern Ireland.
    • If you live in the Scottish Highlands or remote parts of Scotland, we might not be able to deliver to you. Enter your postcode at the checkout to see if we can.
    • We can? Great. Delivery may cost a little more and promotions won’t be available.
    • If you’re in the Channel Islands, the Isle of Man, or the Republic of Ireland, sorry, but we can’t deliver to you.

    What we'll do on delivery day

    On the morning of your delivery day, we’ll send you a text and an email with an estimated 4-hour timeslot. So, you don’t have to spend the day wondering when we’ll turn up. If you use Track Your Order, you’ll even see the delivery window get smaller and smaller as we get closer and closer.

    What DPD do on delivery day

    DPD will drop you a text on the morning of your delivery to remind you that today’s the day. They’ll also give you a 1-hour delivery timeslot, so you know exactly when they’ll arrive.

    If something’s come up and you won’t be in, don’t worry. The text from DPD will have a link that lets you change your delivery day. Crisis averted.

    What you can do

    You can easily track your order and see how close our driver is. If the order’s coming from us, then head over to My Account and use Track Your Order. If DPD are on the case, you can even change your delivery day – just go to Track Your Order to see if this is an option.
