Find out everything you need to know about our Collect & Recycle service.
Saying farewell to your fridge? From just £30, you can save yourself a trip to the tip and let our experts take care of it instead. You don’t even have to buy an appliance from us to use the service. Plus, you’ll be doing your bit for the environment too. It’s a win-win.
Is it different from Remove & Recycle?
Yes. You don’t need to buy a product to use the Collect & Recycle service. You can simply add the service to your basket on its own. Then we’ll pick up your appliance from your home. But Remove & Recycle can only be added when you are buying a new product. We’ll then pick up your old product when we arrive. Both services will take your old product to our state-of-the-art recycling facility in Telford to be properly disposed of.

How does the Collect & Recycle service work?
It’s simple. Just add the service to your basket, pick a date that suits you and we’ll pop round on the day to collect your appliance. You don’t even need to hang about to let us in – choose to leave your appliance outside and we’ll whisk it away without disturbing you.
Here’s a list of the products that we can pick up for you:
- Cookers
- Fridges, freezers and fridge freezers
- Washing machines
- Tumble Dryers
- Dishwashers
- TVs
Once we’ve got it, we’ll take it to our state-of-the-art facility in Telford. Then it’s over to Bertha – our big, green recycling machine. Want to know more? Click here to find out just how committed we are to the cause.
We’re happy to take more than one appliance off your hands, but you’ll need to add the service to your basket once per item. If you have more than 3 appliances, let us know on live chat and we can sort it out for you. We cannot recycle commercial appliances.
What do I need to do on the day?
Whether we’re picking up your appliance from your kitchen or your front lawn, there are a few things you need to do before we arrive:
- Disconnect your appliance from any water, gas or mains supplies.
- If we’re taking a fridge freezer away, make sure it’s completely defrosted and free from any water.
- Make sure your appliance is empty and in a relatively clean condition.
- If we’re collecting a tumble dryer, washing machine or dishwasher, don’t forget to unload it – unfortunately we can’t recycle dirty laundry or pots.
If you’re leaving your appliance outside, just make sure it’s in a safe spot that we can easily get to – then we’ll take care of the rest.

- How soon can I have my appliance collected?
We collect 7 days a week and can even do next day, but it depends on where you live. Add the Collect & Recycle service to your basket to find out the earliest we can get to you.
- Can I use Collect & Recycle in Northern Ireland?
Sorry, not at the moment. But if you’re buying a product from us, we can take your old one away then. Check out our Remove & Recycle page for more info.
- Will you disconnect my appliance before you take it?
For a small extra charge, we can also disconnect, your appliance for you. Just make sure to add it on when you get to the basket. Unfortunately, we can’t disconnect hard wired, integrated or gas products.
- Do I need to defrost my fridge freezer?
Yes please. Make sure it’s thoroughly defrosted and free from any water, otherwise we won’t be able to take it away.
- I have more than one item I need to recycle – can you take another?
Of course, but you’ll need to add our Collect & Recycle service more than once to your order. If you have more than 3 appliances, contact us on live chat and we can sort it for you. We cannot recycle commercial appliances.
