Coronavirus (COVID 19): a note to our customers

We’re still delivering to our customers safely. We’re now only able to deliver products to your doorstep. Otherwise, we’ll come into your home but only deliver to behind your main door. We’ve made sure that our drivers can comply with social distancing guidelines while completing deliveries by knocking on the customers’ door and waiting at least two metres away. We are also asking customers to wait in another room while we deliver. The only exceptions to this will be all eligible products that include our installation service and all American Fridge Freezers (with or without installation) which we will continue to deliver to the room of your choice.

If you need to amend your order, you can do this through My Account. You can also find out when your delivery is due, and change the delivery date if you need to, using our Track Your Order page.

Who will be delivering my order?

You can easily find out who will be delivering your order at the checkout.

  • Your order is coming straight from AO if you’re asked to pick a delivery day from a calendar.
  • Your order will be delivered by DPD if you’re given delivery options to pick from.

Tell me more about DPD delivery

Not heard of DPD? Here’s everything you need to know:

  • They deliver 7 days a week
  • Free delivery is always an option, so you can get your order in 3 working days at no extra cost.
  • Want it faster than that? Pay a little extra for next day delivery and you have it tomorrow.
  • Want it faster still? For a bit more, you can get next day delivery before 12pm.
  • DPD deliver at the weekend, but you’ll need to order before 2pm on Friday.

Tell me more about AO delivery

Here’s everything you need to know about our delivery to mainland UK:

  • You can pick a day that suits you from several free delivery options.
  • Want your order tomorrow? Use next day delivery. Just enter your postcode at the checkout to see if it’s available.
  • We deliver from 7am ‘til 7pm but will text you a 3-hour window on the morning of your delivery. Use Track Your Order to see how far off we are.
  • We even deliver at the weekend and on bank holidays.

Delivery to Northern Ireland and remote areas

Along with DPD, we try and deliver to as many homes as possible, but there are a few places we just can’t get to.

  • For £15, we can deliver to Northern Ireland, but you won’t be able to pick a delivery date online. We’ll text or ring you with the date we’ll be delivering your parcel to our courier. They’ll then get in touch with you to let you know when they’ll be delivering.
  • Delivery promotions like next day delivery aren’t available for Northern Ireland.
  • If you live in the Scottish Highlands or remote parts of Scotland, we might not be able to deliver to you. Enter your postcode at the checkout to see if we can.
  • We can? Great. Delivery may cost a little more and promotions won’t be available.
  • If you’re in the Channel Islands, the Isle of Man, or the Republic of Ireland, sorry, but we can’t deliver to you.

What we'll do on delivery day

We’ll send you a text and an email on the morning of your delivery with an estimated 3-hour timeslot, so you don’t waste time waiting for us to turn up. If you use Track Your Order, you’ll even see the delivery window get smaller and smaller as we get closer and closer.

What DPD do on delivery day

DPD will send you a text on the morning of your delivery with a 1-hour delivery timeslot so you know exactly when they’ll turn up.

If plans have changed and you won’t be in, don’t worry. The text from DPD will have a link that lets you change your delivery day. Crisis averted.

What you can do

You can easily track your order and see how close our driver is. If the order’s coming from us, then head over to Track Your Order. If DPD are on the case, you can even change your delivery day – just go to Track Your Order to see if this is an option.
