How to activate Office 365

Find out how to get started with Word, Excel, PowerPoint and loads more.

If you’ve bought a subscription to Microsoft Office 365 from us, we’ll send you an email with your product key inside. After that, it’ll only take a few easy steps to activate Office 365 and get access to the wonderful world of Word, Excel, PowerPoint and more.

How to activate Office 365

  • Head over to setup.office.com
  • You’ll need to sign in to your Microsoft account, or click Create a new account if you don’t already have one
  • Next, enter your Office 365 product key and select your country and preferred language
  • Finally, you can choose to set up Recurring Billing, but you don’t have to right now.

That’s it! With Office 365 activated on your Microsoft account, all that’s left is to install the software on your laptop. Luckily, we’ve put that information down below.

How to install Office 365

  • Go to account.microsoft.com/services and sign in using your Microsoft account
  • Find your Office product and click on Install
  • Fill in any details that you need to and click on Install

That’s it! You’re all ready to go. If you’ve got an Office 365 Home subscription, you can repeat these steps for up to 6 users and they’ll be up and running in no time.
