Bissell ProHeat did good job cleaning carpets even high footfall area like stairs. Did good job of restoring pile of the carpet too. Very easy to assemble and light to use. Only down side was how often I had to stop and fill and empty the water tanks, frustrating when you just want to get job done. Water went long way however when using the attachments.. if you have large carpet areas then you might find this bit annoying. All in all machine did good job and worth serious consideration.

This is my second Bissell carpet cleaner and it is a lot better in its performance. The front loading tanks are a great improvement and make them easier to fill and empty. The double rollers have improved the cleaning ability enormously and it is easy to manoeuvre. The best thing is being able to clean the whole machine after use and not having annoying dirt in places you can't access. The only negative is that it is quite heavy when full.

Beautiful machine to use brought my carpets up as new

This model replaced our 10 year old Bissell ProHeat, that only had 2 brush rows on a single roller. I thought it cleaned reasonably well, but it could be a bit tempramental in use, with the mix sometimes not plowing properly. The amount of water recovered was (I guess) about 50%. This new model blows that performance apart! Areas of light coloured carpet that never came completely clean are now almost back to normal. The 2x revolution has 2 brush rollers (one behind the other) and they really get deep into the pile to get the dirt out. The brushes also help to lift flattened areas of the pile. Be warned though! The first time you use it, expect there to be quite a lot of loose fluff lifted from the carpets fabric. It can look alarming, but when you compare it to the area your cleaning, it really isnt that much. The machine is easy to fill, as you add water and soap solution in the same tank, which has guide marks to show you how much of each to use. One of the most outstanding things about the machine is the amount of water it retrieves from the carpet - in fact, the lower dirty water resevoir fills up quicker than you expect, so you have to remember to keep a careful eye on it so it doesn't overfill. Give yourself a good 15 to 20 minutes to clean the machine after use - FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS! They tell you to rinse it through for good reasons - some established from experience of previous product failures. The diluted cleaning solution may, over time start to black the water pathways and lead to reduced performance or failure, so look after it and it will look after you! The machine supplied by ao.com was newer, having an 3 cleaning settings, one more than the model currently on other web sites. I am absolutely delighted with the machine and would highly reccomend it for home use :-)

Very pleased with the result of carpet cleaning after trying to fathom the instructios which were very poor and hard to understand We had one or two problems and two of our carpets were wetter than expected by trying to understand the poor instructions

Compact & easy to manouvre. Dirty water tank smaller capacity than my old (12 yr. Old) machine so had to empty water frequently. Power cord also shorter than previous machine. Instructions not brilliant, took me a while to work out why the machine stopped suctioning... the tank was full, but there is no indicator other than a change in tone. Did a good job on carpets but they took a lot longer than an hour to dry. These points are relatively minor so overall I am pleased with my purchase.

Having owned a much less sophisticated carpet cleaner before, I was very impressed with this one. Very easy to use and effective, the two rotating brushes pick up all the dirt and fluff that a vacuum cleaner simply can’t (despite vacuuming every day!). The relatively compact design is also a plus. I also have a Bissel spot cleaner and the good thing is that I have now more attachments that I can use on both machines. Only downside is it’s a little heavy to carry up and down the stairs but it’s still manageable.
