    Coffee-grinder worth its price!

    5/5
This wonderful coffee-grinder has one property which, alone, makes it worth its money: you can remove the grinders for cleaning! It is also supremely quiet; even whilst providing a cocoa-powder fine Espresso grind. A magnificent, quality, machine.

    Great design, looks and functionality

    4/5
Great design and functionality, very easy operation and very quiet easy loading and being able to see when running low on beans. It lost one star for cheap plastic basket support which is grey and flimsy and does not matching colour could be made of slightly nicer plastic to match the brand image and been in black. But otherwise very pleased with my purchase

Lovely but a hefty price tag!

lovely piece of kit, does the job really well but expensive. You do get what you pay for but im not sure if its worth nearly £200 perhaps £150 would be a fairer price point

    Looks great, matches my fridge

    5/5
Great adjustable grinder, perfect for my manual coffee machine. Love the colour, it matches my swan fridge really well, so much quicker than the manual grinder I was using before. Holds loads of beans in the top compartment and keeps them fresh as it’s airtight, Perfect for when you want to make multiple cups for guests or a quick cuppa in the morning

Bought to replace a noisy and rather basic Gaggia grinder. Perceived quality is good and it is reasonably quiet - only problem is the coffee grinding! If you drink espresso or use Moka Express pots as we do, the finest setting is simply not fine enough. On our old Gaggia grinder, we used no 2 or 3 of 16 settings. The Smeg has a rather absurd 30 settings, but the finest is still ‘grains’ rather than ‘powder’. It won’t wake the kids, but then again neither will the coffee be the perfect start to your day.
