So far, so good. Couple of points to mention: -It takes a little longer than my old dryer, but this was clearly advertised so isn’t an issue. -It’s rarely my idea of dry when the automatic programs finish, but putting it on for an extra 10 or so minutes gets it there. Keeping in mind that we all have a slightly different idea of ‘dry’, I won’t mark it down for that. -The water tank is ridiculously easy to empty, and as it’s right there in the door, it’s so easy to remember to empty it too. I do have to wait a couple of minutes to empty it though as the handle can be a bit hot after the cycle is finished. -The contactless app feature, for me, is absolutely pointless. I have an iPhone so off the bat I can’t use it as it only supports Android phones. When we tested it with my partner’s Android, we found that by the time you’ve navigated the app and turned the dial to the contactless setting and tapped your phone on the dryer, it would have been quicker to just turn the dial to the option you want in the first place! I won’t mark it down for this because it doesn’t have any impact on using the machine and I can just ignore it. -It really does use so much less electricity, at least in comparison to my old dryer. The smart meter used to be in the orange when it was on, and now it’s only halfway into the green! All in all, it dries my clothes and hasn’t tried to set fire to the kitchen like my last machine, so I’m happy with it!

Very simple to use, big drum, and with a front section for the water it’s so easy to empty…. Only thing I would say (and it’s my fault not to notice when ordering) that it does not have the reverse tumble cycle, so bedding tends to end up in a bundle (not drying very well ??)

Dries okay ... but despite the promise to the contrary, you cannot control this via WiFi ... only NFC. I specifically chose this because of the WiFi control, hence the poor rating.

I carried out a little research on this product and it's rivals from several different suppliers and liked what I saw. I wanted to be a little more friendly to the enviroment and healthier to my bank balance so I went for this Candy Smart Heat Pump Tumble Dryer. It was easy to set up and easy to use - much better that previous tumble drier's as the water reservoir is in the door, rather than on the floor like my previous condenser drier. So far, fingers crossed, there is nothing to dislike about my purchase.

Huge mistake - I wish I could return it - It takes hours to dry which I can cope with (just) but there is no reverse movement on the drum so bedding becomes so tangled up it takes ages to untangle. It is best ally unfit to dry bedding so now all my bedding has to go on the line. Programmes are also pretty useless with most drying to damp. The drier then needs to be put on a shirt setting so that the stuff is dried properly - it really takes an age. I could never ever recommend this product.

This model is not advertised correctly. AO have listed this as WiFi Connected. It is NOT WiFi capable at all. Candy lists this product as Simply-Fi App NFC ONLY. therefore you can only use it within NFC range of the device and ONLY if you have an Android device with NFC capability. iOS app can only register the product for warranty and nothing more. I think that AO has mis-represented the product and mis-sold the product on features that are not offered by the supplier.

This replaced a 6 year old vented drier that was 60 percent cheaper to buy, but of course all the hot air left the building. This one is quieter, has an interesting tank in the door where all the water from the clothes ends up (that you then pour away, but could use for grey water recycling or something). It does make utility room very slightly damp compared to old one, but main problem: is that is uses much less energy -per hour- than old one but takes twice as long, so not sure the total massive energy saving is as good as they say - as it runs for 2 1/2 hours to dry clothes instead of 75 minutes. Also last dryer broke because bearing in motor seized up - if this takes twice as long to dry then bearings will take twice the wear.

Really pleased with this tumble dryer which we got to replace our old Candy one. We needed a left hinged one and this was one of the few options. Easy to use (I haven’t yet tried the smart app though), with a large capacity. As expected it does take longer for a cycle than our old condenser one but dries well and hopefully is more energy efficient. There is definitely less condensation generated when using this one. Easy to empty the water reservoir and lint collectors.
