I have just received my new Miele freezer and although I am overall satisfied I do find it quite noisy and unattractive. The handle sticks out like a big chunky block, this could easily have been made so much more elegant. It's quite noisy which is a nuisance but I guess we can get used to it. Reversing the door was not as straight forward as I thought it would be as a special tool was required, luckily enough my husband had this tool, but it is not something you will find in an ordinary household. On the positive side I will add that the drawers have openings on the sides which makes it very easy when you are lifting them in and out of the freezer. I also like the glass shelves, this will so much easier to clean when defrosting the freezer.

I bought this to replace my John Lewis freezer which died young. The side walls are quite thick which reduces capacity but increases insulation which saves energy. It's quiet (a gentle hum can be heard) and has glass shelves inside which adds to the quality feel. It has non-compulsory spacers to keep it away from the back wall. If you don't use them it mildly increases energy use.

old freezer was on it way out and needed a new one decided on the Miele freezer for size and reliability very happy with our choice looks great as we only have a small kitchen fits under the book tops looks easy to clean after defrosting has handles on the side of the darers and has class that seperate the darers and easy to change the door over from one side to the other

I purchased this Miele to replace a Bosch freezer that had given 29 years trouble free service. Size for size (outside dimensions are identical) it has less nett capacity and is noisier. So much for technological advances! On the plus side, it seems to be well made and the temperature display is both useful and clear.

Well it came Saturday and what a nice freezer just got to fill it up going to save for a miele washing machine now .

We had to replace an 18 year old Hotpoint freezer which was under counter fitting before the compressor completely failed in it. This new machine had one of the largest capacities available but despite taking up substantially more room than the old one it has significantly less interior volume - not being able to decant all the contents from the old one (which wasn't full) into the new one. We now find ourselves contemplating a second freezer in the garage to make up for the lack of capacity in this one - neither energy efficient of economical in any sense. Perhaps it is time that manufacturers found a better compromise between energy efficiency and practicality - I would rather burn slightly more electricity and not require two machines - these comments are applicable to all manufacturers not just Miele.

I wanted a freezer with a large capacity and also one with an impressive build quality and so this Miele was the one I ended up with. Lots of room inside. 104 Litres Net! The drawers sit on glass shelves instead of plastic runner built into the internal wall. The benefit of sitting on a glass shelf is that the drawer glides in/out with ease. The drawers appear well built. You've got a front handle for pulling out but then side handles as well for stability of lifting out completely. When in use the freezer is very quiet. I can hear it but it's a background noise and so for me the sound it makes is no problem. The door has a slight curve on it. It curves out slightly, a bit like a bow window does though not at all intrusive and does make a pleasing design statement. I'm hoping this freezer outlives me. It comes with a 2 year guarantee but I'm hoping 10+ years because when you a premium you expect a premium product in return. Oh yes, the LED is display is a pleasant silver/grey. In the dark it looks a bit like moonlight. OK I'm crazy but to me it does. I would highly recommend this Miele under-counter freestanding freezer.
