We had to replace an 18 year old Hotpoint freezer which was under counter fitting before the compressor completely failed in it. This new machine had one of the largest capacities available but despite taking up substantially more room than the old one it has significantly less interior volume - not being able to decant all the contents from the old one (which wasn't full) into the new one. We now find ourselves contemplating a second freezer in the garage to make up for the lack of capacity in this one - neither energy efficient of economical in any sense. Perhaps it is time that manufacturers found a better compromise between energy efficiency and practicality - I would rather burn slightly more electricity and not require two machines - these comments are applicable to all manufacturers not just Miele.

Product delivered as expected (early delivery without having to pay extra, which suited me fine). Product was easy and straightforward to set up and install, and (so far) it does what it says on the tin.

Nice clean looking freezer, very efficient, the downside is the capacity is disappointing as the sides are quite thick I suppose this is to comply to the rating, the other thing is there is a pulsating hum which whenever standing near you can hardly hear it ,but gets a louder further away which is annoying.

Not a frost free freezer. Also be aware that the quoted depth (611mm) is increased by 35mm if you fix the two wall spacers at the rear which is recommended if you want the cheapest running costs. It is very awkward to adjust the two front feet with the spanner supplied, it is too short. Use a standard 10mm open ended spanner at least 140mm (5.5 inches) long. Four easily removeable shelves make for easy loading/unloading.

Good product well made , delivered quickly and in use same day delivered. Supplied Ice cube tray would of been better if larger size of individual cubes

This undercounter freezer is perfect in every respect - build quality, appearance, reliability. Plus for it's size it is a leader in the internal volume of storage available. So why only 4*? Simply because for this money (the dearest undercounter freezer in this sector) it should be a 'frost free' unit. Can't believe for this top money it still has to be manually defrosted; probably 2-3 times a year. I incorrectly assumed it would be frost free freezer! Might be returning this yet to AO under their superb 100 day return policy in exchange for a frost free AEG freezer instead.

Might be expensive for what it is but build quality is self evident.
