Paid for collection and American fridge was only collected 3 days after new unit was delivered - also had to move the old unit outside ourselves and have separate contractors come in to disconnect and reconnect the fridges (both these services were paid for, but AO didn’t do them which caused a lot of headaches and more costs by using additional contractors - would have been better using another company to purchase the fridge and to actually instead and take away the old unit).

Failed to pick my fridge up on first attempt as told there was not enough room left on the van! So has to rebook for another day; second attempt again told they’d have to assess the space in the van, thankfully they did have enough space so took the fridge. This was particularly stressful because I was having a new kitchen fitted and wouldn’t have had enough room for the kitchen to be stored had the fridge not been picked up. AO don’t use specific vans for collection, they’re the same vans that have new item deliveries on so it really is pot luck as to whether the van will have enough space to pick up your old appliance! They don’t drop off all the deliveries to empty the van and then do collections... which would make the most sense if they’re not prepared to invest in separate vans, the work out the drops and collections by route only. Really annoyed to be honest and I don’t think I’d book AO collection again.

Excellent efficient service

The order was for the original fridge and freezer to be collected after the new one was being delivered. There was no option when arranging online to stipulate whether the original product was more than one unit, it was a fridge and freezer (when stacked standing at approx 170cm) as separate units which needed to be collected. The delivery person felt it was appropriate to insist they could only collect one of the units and recommended a second collection be arranged. They had space in their van. Another collection slot was not available until 5 days later. This was the opposite of helpful.

I ordered a recycling service where it clearly said that they would come into the house and take my appliance. When they got here, they refused to come into the house due to COVID. IT CLEARLY SAYS IN THE TERMS THAT THEY WILL COME IN AND TAKE THE APPLIANCE FROM INSIDE THE HOUSE! I have dismantled an American fridge freezer and it has inconvenienced me a lot! Very annoyed.

delivery was promised at 3pm, changed to 7.30pm and then cancelled at 9.30pm. no rescheduled delivery was made. would never use ao ever again - service is appalling. very disappointed

My 1st delivery just decided to not turn up after my time kept getting extended. I then had to wait 2 extra days for a collection which they left the water tray on my stairs in my communal hallway that seemed to have fallen off.

Took my money, but didn't take away my old oven :(
